Condition
Some customers whose vehicles are operated in dusty type environments, such as farming or mining off-road type applications, may comment about the illumination of the instrument panel SES light, with a DTC of P0446 (Restricted/Blocked EVAP Vent Path) being set.

Cause
Dirt and dust intrusion into the EVAP canister vent solenoid, resulting in restricted air flow, may cause this condition.

Correction
DO THIS: Replace the EVAP vent solenoid with a more robust vent solenoid.

DON'T DO THIS: DO NOT Replace the EVAP canister or other EVAP parts.

After following the Service Manual diagnostic P0446 and determining that the EVAP canister vent valve is the cause of the SES light, replace the existing EVAP canister vent solenoid and bracket. This new vent solenoid has an enhanced filtering capability and a filter element that can be easily removed and cleaned. To ensure correct installation, follow the procedure below.

Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
Remove the bolt retaining the vent valve bracket.
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Disconnect the canister vent valve hose.
Install the new vent valve bracket, P/N 15105605, to the vehicle with the retaining bolt.
Tighten
Tighten the bracket mounting bolt to 12 N·m (106 lb in).

Install the new vent valve, P/N 10382105, to the bracket.
Reinstall the electrical connector.
Reinstall the canister vent valve hose.
Lower the vehicle.
Clear the DTC.

They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. I have a few ideas for you:

1) I know this sounds crazy, but try disconnecting the vehicle battery (both terminals) for at least 10 minutes, then reconnect them and try the remote again.

2) Replace the batteries in the key fob.

3) Take the circuit board out, wipe it down, and try again. Here is a video showing this process: How To Clean Your Key Fob Circuit Board

4) Reprogram the remote using these procedures:
1. Close all vehicle doors. 2. Insert the key into the ignition.
3. Hold down the power UNLOCK button on the driver?s door panel-continue to hold
down until instructed to release in step 9.
4. Perform steps 5 through 8 in fairly rapid succession.
5. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position (as far as you can go without starting the
engine).
6. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
7. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
8. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
9. Release the power unlock button on the door panel. The vehicle will lock and unlock
the doors automatically.
10. Hold down the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the transmitter simultaneously until
the door locks and unlocks.
This step may take up to 30 seconds.
11. Repeat step 10 NOW for each additional transmitter (including any existing
transmitters).
12. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position in order to exit the transmitter programming
mode.

Have you had the battery off ? if so the control unit will need resetting. this is in the manual. if the battery has not been off, take it off and leave off for half an hour and then put it back on and do the reset.

Plugged fuel filter? Going up hill will demand more fuel so maybe the filter is restricting high flow.

Depending on the age of your vehicle you may have a problem with the bulb sockets. I am assuming that you have checked the bulbs. Remove the bulbs and check for voltage in the bulb sockets with the brake pedal depressed. If there is no power then you may have to do some wire tracing looking to see if the wires have been pinched or cut by something.

You need the correct part. The part you have is for a different vehicle. No there is not an adapter you can buy, but you may be able to hard-wire it by cutting and splicing wires. I wouldn't recommend this, unless you live in a remote part of Alaska and have no other means to fix this.

The 4X4 is controlled by a electronic control module , without testing for codes an doing electrical test's would only be guessing ! Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop .

If you disconnected the battery to change the fuel pump and did not disable the anti-theft feature first, you now know why it wont start. Check the owners manual if you have it, or contact a GM dealer to get the system reset.

Is there a security lamp on the dash that is on or flashing? Any applicable trouble codes? My info shows you have passlock, usually a fuel injector disable, only, may start and stall. If vehicle starts and stalls, leave key in the on position, If security lamp does not flash, the passlock system should not be at fault.

It is possible that while making the knock sensor repairs you damaged a spark plug wire. Folks don't change these often, and with the high temps under hood on modern lean running engines, these should be changed every three or four years.

A fast signal is telling you that a bulb is not working. The unit is set up on amount of resistance that sets the speed. Most likely it is the rear light housing board is cracked. Remove the rear light and open the panel from the back. If this is the problem replace the whole fixture. Note very expensive on Amazon.

2002 Chevrolet... | Answered on Jul 06, 2016

It sound like the rear lock is messed up. First thing to check is the fuse in the block under the hood. Many things are fused separate. If the fuse is good you must next check the circuit by removing the rear hatch panel and insuring you have power and ground at the lock actuator. If there is then it may be the lock actuator itself or you may have the rear gate locked out of the system. If that is the case, the dealer may have to unlock it in the computer system. If it has a key at the rear gate see if you can open it manually, sometimes that will re set it.
