Question about 1993 Volkswagen Cabriolet

Hazard Lights will not work. Hazard Switch renewed. 5 Pins on Hazard switch 49, 49a 30 31 and 58? (This last number is switch live from the side lights) Indicators work normally. Pin 30 on the switch is connected to ground when the hazard switch is operated. If I knew how the system was wired I think I could locate the problem, but no wiring diagram I have found is like this car. 2001 VW Golf Cabrolet Many thanks.

Do you mean 58 is only live when the lights are on? if so there should be another perminent live, have you checked the fuses?

Where's the IndIcator relay swItch on a daewoo lanos

Here is some extra information on replacing the Daewoo Lanos indicator / hazard lights relay. Open the driver door, on the side of the dashboard there is an access panel. Flip it open with a screwdriver.
Now you can pull out a violet connector block. The relay is plugged into this block, it is green. You can just pull it out of the connector block and replace it by a new one. The part number is 96312545, and it has three pins, numbered 31, 49 and 49A.
Other specifications: 12V 2/4x21W. It is made by Daewoo / DECO. The same type of relay is used in the Daewoo Matiz. I picked up a used relay from an old Matiz for 2 euros and the indicator/hazard lights work like
a charm again. The whole replacement took about 2 minutes, but it took me days to get the used part. Probably other relays with these three pins will work too: google for "31 49 49A". Hope this is useful to other people who run into problems with the Daewoo Lanos indicator lights!

My turn signals and hazard light dont work on my 1997 dodge caravan

check for a feed first to teh indicators and the hazard switch if you have a feed then renew the hazard light switch first as this switch if defective will stop all the indicator lights from working

My 2003 grand am's emergency flasher is clicking intermittantly and sporadically without being turned on. have replaced the flasher hazard switch/module, but it didn't fix the problem.

Hello! The Hazard Switch/Module connector has the following wires of interest...Pin G=Dark Blue (right side lights)...Pin F=Light Blue/Black (left side lights)...Pin H= Purple (flasher battery)...And Pin A=Black (ground)...In order for the lights to flash, without pressing the switch, Flasher Battery must be applied to Pins G and/or F...When the problem occurs are all external lights flashing or just one side? Visually inspect the connector for bent pins and the harness for bare or frayed wires...If you have a multimeter and a wee bit of experience using it; Set the ohm meter to X10 scale...Measure from Pin A (black wire) to the center of the negative battery post...Reading should be zero ohms or very close to it...Send results...

Hazardd switch on steering column broke cant stop lights blinkin

You don't need to remove the column off to replace the hazard switch.
1. Take a pair of neede nose pliers and just pull the old one out.
2. Lube up you new one and just slide it in.
The part numbers for the hazard switch are: 15174447 (retails for $16.23) & 15177379 (retails for $18.42). You have to look for the bar code on the top of the turn signal (multifunction) switch. If the number is 26083635, 26083636, or there is no bar code use the 15174447 hazard switch. If the barcode number is 26090641, 26090642, 26096832, or 26096833 use the other hazard switch (15177379). Now these numbers came off of the recall that was for the 2000 & 2001 S/T trucks so they may not work back too far. But I know that one of those switches works back to 96 (and maybe 95).
Thank you for using Fixya and this should take you about 5 min to replace. Good luck

Electronic/Electrical Problems

sounds like you have a number of problems.
a. hazard lights and no head lamp dimming and no turn indicator, most likely the multi function switch has failed. but check the bulbs first.
b. head lamp bulb is burnt
c.side mirror switch is disconected or has failed

Indicators not working for a daewoo lanos 1998 model.

If both indicators and hazard lights are not working, probably the indicator relay is broken.

Blinkers work sometimes, sometimes they don't

Sounds like the flasher(which is your hazard switch) is failing.
