Next time it stalls, carefully touch the ignition coil. If hot, check for damaged High tension wires and connections between ignition coil and spark plugs. Ussually bad connections have high resistance which make ignition coil hot forcing it to fail.

My 2002 nissan sentra ser keeps stalling at red lights

If the car does not have any other drivability problems then I would suspect a transmission torque converter problem which would make it stall with a slight ****. Does it stall coming to a stop before it has shifted to higher gears. If it stalls while in 2nd or 1st gear then it is not the converter.

The car stalls when in drive and if driven more than a hour it stalls at every red light

The trans pan is on top and when it is removed for leak repairs or valvebody service, there is a 10 way electrical connector that has to be removed held in place by a 7mm screw. If care wasn't taken when it was re-installed you very well could have those problems. Also they may have pinched a wire under the valve body cover(pan).Or they may have knocked the ground wire off your trans range switch. Most likey related to the pan repair.hope this helps
