Question about 2002 Honda Accord
It shuts off while in drive and stops, starts again after 30 min
Stalls. engine stalls. Stalls only HOT. and fails hot soaked.
stalls have 4 paths ?
1: lost DC power, to EFI (spark and fuel brains) "loose fuse?"
2: lost compression only hot (compression gauge to rescue)
3: lost spark or the classic, never doing 60k mile tuneups.
or the classic EGR stuck open , again not ever cleaned at 60k
4: bad fueling. (too much floods, it and stalls it, or tool lean it dies)
(or stuck closed ISC) we clean it at 60k with the EGR. as part of the 60k service points listed in the missing operators guide. (bet)
in that order, this 4 macro paths to , no stalls.
do you want me to guess which of 50 parts are bad.?
or do the 4 tests. to find which path it is.
one takes a month, other 1hr.
one more test. can you save this stall with a fast right foot?
and how easy was it to save, if true.

It is most certainly the "main relay". It's a small gray (sometimes brown) plastic box tucked up behind the left dash vent. It controls the fuel delivery. It's secured with 10mm on top of your cruise control computer. It would be visible with a flashlight if you lay your head on the floor (with your head almost touching your gas pedal, seriously). Unbolt it, unplug it and then carefully pry of the plastic cover. If you have good eyes or look really CLOSE you'll see the cold solder pin (broken connection). The break will be thinner than a human hair. Heat that pin up with a soldering gun and watch it puddle back into shape to make the connection and you're good for another 100k miles :)

Sounds like the pgmfi relay is going out. This is a common problem with these cars. They get hot and dont want to work, they cool off and everything is ok.

is the engine cranking(spinning) but not running??When this happens, are any warning lights not lit when key is turned to "on"(chk engine, ABS, oil, battery etc)??

A common problem on Honda cars is the fuel pump relay.
You will need to figure out if the problem is fuel or ignition to proceed.
