Freon level is low. add r134 refrigerant and your problem will be solved.

on the front of the compressor there is a clutch. the clutch could be bad. first look on the reciever drier for a low pressure switch. unplug the low pressure switch and jump the two wires. drive the truck.if the a/c does not stop the problem is the low pressure switch. check the plug that plugs into the clutch of the compressor. check the ground wire hat is on the back of the compressor.check the a/c relay. if this failes it is possible that there is a restriction in your a/c system.if problem continues i will tell you how to change a orfice tube.

That would be an indication that the system is low on refrigerant. Jumpering the low pressure connector is a GREAT way to destroy the compressor. Compressor oil is circulated with refrigerant. When low on refrigerant and jumpering, you're running the compressor without oil

I have a 98 blazer that in the morning blows ice cold air. After driving for awhile it will stop blowing cold and if you turn it off wait and turn ot back on it sometimes blows cold again. ANy ideas

I would replace the low pressure AC compressor cycling switch, it may be sticking, it is a fairly common problem. The switch is located in the low side of the AC system hoses or accumulator.

2001 Chevy Tahoe AC stopped working

There is a possibility that the A/C compressor clutch burned up or got disconnected. Try investigating the wiring for the clutch.

2001 Chevy S-10 AC stops after about ten minutes

Sounds as if there may be a vacuum leak somewhere, possibly behind dash causing it to switch back and forth from hot to cold and vise versa

Your ignition module is bad. Known to stop working when it gets hot and work again after it cools off. Replace it. Good luck
