Question about 1999 Peugeot 206
Hi my peugeot 206 diesel rear lights are not working, I,ve checked the bulbs and fuses and they are ok, any ideas ? HELP
Are both rear lights not working or only one of them, if both are not you should check the earth points, in most cases the connectors have burn earth wire due to high load. u can make simple test, just put an external earth instead of the existing one.
another thing u should test, is that there is wright order coming from BSI (computer under steering column) but u need diagnostic tool to do so.

Possible headlight switch would be my first guess.

TBH you shouldnt need too. There is a hand prime pump (black rubber egg) which will bring the fuel up. Pump this till its hard. Crank the engine for 5 seconds. Pump the egg again, crank again, probably three or four times, and the engine should start. It will probably stall, but do it again, and it will start and run. Once running, keep it running at a fast idle to get the last bits of air out.

It sounds like your thermostat has gone bad and sticking close, Replace the Thermostat and Antifreeze. When replacing the thermostat, buy a fail safe thermostat so you will not have a overheating problem when the thermostat fails. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help.

In my opinion cut off problem occurs if engine is not getting sufficient fuel and/or air. Clean the air filter, turbo filter and fuel filter. Check the continuity of diesel flow from filter to hdi pump. If you haven't found any problem there then the possibily the hdi pump and injectors section needs to be checked. If the car has done more than 100000 miles then clean inlet and outlet manifolds including check of turbo and EGR valve. Do everything whatever possible before you take your car to garage. If there is no luck then let your car diagnosed and check any error code recorded by ecu.

When you can't find any fault code in ecu log then in my opinion its the wiper motor that has gone. May be motor has a broken pinion which doesn't engage the wiper arms properly and causes the problem. Buy a used wiper motor from ebay and give it a try. I hope that it'll work.
