I have check engine code P1354 variable valve timing system bank 2 for my 2000 Lexus RX300. Where is this located?

YES, you have to investigate what is throwing your valve timing off. That could be anything from a vacuum leak to clogged injectors, bad plugs, sensor ect. Have the car analyzed to find the cause. There can be many causes. Good luck

The ignition module or plug wires cud be worn causing them to heat and creating a cool down time. Computers r usualy strong and r bad when the car gos haywire. Change distcap if it has one

My 2000 GMC Safari will misfire sometimes and when i stop at an intersection it will idle rough then runs ok What is the cause of this ?

p300, is a generic code for misfires. Could be any of the cylinders or all. When's the last time you had a tune up? Start with the cheap stuff, fuel filter, air filter, and clean the throttle body. If that doesn't clear it up, replace the plugs and wires.

What causes random misfire on 2000 cadillac diville

it may need a tune-up if you haven`t had one in a long time, could be a dirty fuel injection system,(have a injector service done), I`ve seen an intermitant vacuum leak cause this, poor fuel quality, even a problem with the computer. a crank or cam sensor problem can cause a random misfire.

How to fix diagnostic code for 1999 vw passat po304 po305 po306

Hi. You have misfires on cylinders 4, 5 and 6. If there are no faults on cylinder 1, 2 and 3 then I would check the power to the left bank injectors. Also check spark plugs and ht leads. If there are running issues then this should be an easy fix. If the faults are very intermitant then it can be a bit tricky to isolate.

Check engine light comes on intermitantly while driving

Most likely a misfiring plug do a tune up on it and it should go away replace plugs wires and distributor cap if it is equipped replace plugs one at a time so you don't get the wires crossed. after about 45,000 miles the plugs start opening the gap and cause the car to miss fire and causes the check engine light to come on. Also if it starts flashing rapidly all the time it means a bad misfire that can cause catastrophic damage to catalytic converter. Hope this helps.

Intermitant cold start misfire

Most likely none are related to the computer. Surging idle is often a sign of a vacuum leak and can cause random misfires. Vacuum leak would also cause hesitation. Sensor heater can be a fuse, wiring or bad sensor. What's the window doing?

Intermitent rough idle & slight miss at low speeds

Trying to solve same problem on my 1994 ford Taurus. So as I see it just need to rethink what we did wrong to begin with and we could have put one of the wires on wrong (in wrong placement) or bad conection.

Random multiple misfirings

Here is a list of possible causes. You should not drive the vehicle if the check engine light is flashing all the time, you can cause even more damage. It could pay to have a professional find the real cause.

Spark plugs that are incorrect for the application, cracked, improperly gaped or worn can cause the engine to misfire or run rough at all times.
An IC module that failed to correctly control the ignition coil(s) will cause the engine to misfire or run rough at all times.
Poor connections, broken wiring or wiring that has shorts to ground can cause the engine to misfire or run rough at all times. NOTE: Check connectors that might be pulled apart as the engine flexes or wires that short to ground as they pass near brackets or shorts to ground on the exhaust manifold.
Fuel injector(s) that are shorted, plugged or partially restricted can cause the engine to misfire or run rough at all times.
An ignition coil(s) that has low output, corrosion on the coil tower(s), is carbon tracked or arcs to ground will cause the engine to misfire or run rough at all times.
A PCM that failed to properly control the injector or ignition timing will cause the engine to misfire or run rough at all times.
