Just close BOTH the front and back MANUALLY and make sure its in the locked position. (follow the owners manual on how to close it manually). The warning light will go off and the switch will become operational again.

SOURCE: Lexus LS 430 trunk. I caught something on my suitcase this morning. Now in order to get the trunk open, you have to yank it open because something is catching. Doesn't seem like the trunk lid moto
