Question about 2002 Chevrolet Suburban
2002 Chevy Suburban: Fuel gauge reads empty, but tank is half full. Also, low fuel light comes on. Now that tank is full, light is off and gauge reads full. What is the problem?
It is also very possible that it is the stepper motor inside the cluster. If any of your other gauges are acting up I would look at replacing the stepper motor. GM is know for bad stepper motors. The cluster comes out very easy. If you know how to soder you can most likely do the repair yourself. You can but stepper motors from eBay relatively cheap. All the gauges use the same motor.
