In a regular basis, you should change you CVT transmission fluids every 50 to 70k Km depending if it's a turbo or not. (Turbo = 50k Km)

Important:
Add one unit (10 CC syringe) of DEX CVT additive (P/N 22697447) whenever an unrecoverable loss of fluid occurs during an authorized limited on vehicle repair. Minor fluid
loss, such as minor drips that may occur during the fluid checking procedure, does not require the addition of the additive.

TRANSMISSION OIL CHANGE

I have a 2004 R2 - CVT fluid is to be changed every 40,000km. I've changed mine once already. Taking the drain plug out of the transmission pan drains 2-3L. New fluid is added to the CVT 'dipstick' tube, which is just behind the radiator with a black plastic head on the dipstick. A local CVT specialist sold me type NS-2 fluid, which has been working well for 12,000km. I also changed the filter on top of the transmission with a WIX 51365 which my autoparts shop found using the OEM filter part number. Hope this helps!

I bought a used Honda Civic Hatchback 2001, code EU1-1020777. When purchased, I put 1 liter of transmission oil, but it was not CVT recommended oil. Several other people had major problems with...

please specify what your problem is.

your vehicle is not equipped with a cvt transmission, so does not require cvt fluid. adding cvt fluid would cause a catastrophic failure. please reply and explain what problem you are actually experiencing.

Where is the transmission reservoir on the 1999 E320?

The Mercedes Benz E class W210.065 chassis, along with others, have a Factory Sealed Transmission....MB claims "lifetime fluid"..do not believe this...i strongly recommend you service the transmission every 30,000 miles to prevent premature failure. These transmissions are expensive to repair, and AAMCO does not have qualified techs do do it properly.

If you want to service the transmission...

You will need a dipstick (MB special tool) to check the fluid level, not to remain in transmission while driving.
Also make sure to add 220-271-0098 magnet to the trans pan.
The transmission does have a filter & is fully servicable.
You must use the "special" MB fluid, 8 liters are required
Good luck...i hope this helps, please rate me a fixya.

CVT 2002 Mini Cooper transmission check and change

The only way to check the trans fluid is to drain the fluid right out of the trans pan. There should be 5 liters. The only way to get the fluid in is by pumping the fluid back in by means of the fill plug on the lower front of the transmission. I believe it is a 4 or a 6mm allen to remove the plug. Whatever you use to pump the fluid back in needs to seal where the fill plug is because fluid will pour right back out. I would change the fluid at least every 50k.
