The actuator is located on the lest side of transfer case and it usually is the sensor inside that fails it is cheaper to just replace the sensor but it takes a little more technical knowledge to do your indicator on the switch probably just flashes.

Can't find high beam switch

The high /low beam actuator is the switch stalk itself. Either pull it back to the wheel to change beams each time or push it to the dash for one beam and back to the wheel for the other beam

Where is my 4WD actuator/motor located on my 2006 F-150? I can turn my switch to 4x4 high or low and i can hear it lock in but when i gas it, my back tires are still spinning. So its like the 4x4 is still...

There is one actuator in each front wheel hub,had the same problem, there are 2 plastic valves on the battery side, connected to hoses ,just blew some compressed air in them and it solved the problem.the actuators are not electric, they are controlled by suction,it could also be caused by a disconnected hose.Check you have 2 hoses on each iner side wheel hub.Have fun!

4-wheel drive isnt working , i put the tranny in nautral and pull the lever back in to 4 wheel high and nothing , its the same with 4 wheel low , but i can drive the truck around , sure hope u can help

Sounds to me like the 4 wheel drive actuator on the front diff isn't working. Its a relatively inexpensive part, and easy to change. It is located on top of the front diff, a few inches to the right of the pumpkin. Will be really easy to find once you have the new part in hand. Just un-bolt the old, disconnect the connector, then bolt on the new one, and plug it in.

Where is shift actuator located on 1999 Jimmy 1999

I had the same problem with my 1999 Silverado which would blink several times on the mode I selected then go back to the 2 wheel High. I found the switch module to be defective, after replacing it I have never had the problem again.

94 Ford Ranger, ignition assembly loose. Will not start unless I jimmy the assembly in towards the steering column. Require removal of steering wheel to fix?

Thats ok mam,i,m 62,retired with 19 yrs experience in automotive field.Ford cars and trucks. And several different importsBut i quit in 1996.
I,m thinking that the, gears may be out of timing and the actuating rod that moves the ignition switch contacts at or near the bottom of the steering colmn.
You should repair the key cylinder, and the tumbler that the key actuates. Then you may also need to adjust the switch assy contact box at the bottom. These are a high wear items over a lot of yrs, and useage, and might be best to pay one time, and fix it right.I used to repair tilt steering wheels, and found that its less costly just to buy a good used steering column with key and all,but now days i,m not so sure! ??? hope i was helpful!
Good luck on this problem,as i know costs are high every where.

Four wheel drive doesn't ingage an no dash light comes on

Check to make sure the switch on top of the transfercase is operating properly, if so, then make sure the front actuator has power to it...The actuator on the front differential has a high failure rate.

Only 4x4 high won't work 94 jimmy. It works in two wheel and in 4 wheel low just not high. It's a 94 jimmy, vanity wise it's mint. They're asking $1495, 200,000 mi. That seems to be the only problem and I...

Thats a fairly common problem with that model. Typically it involves a 75.00 part called a transfer case actuator. I personally think the price is right if the vehicle is in good condition other than the actuator. Be advised the Jimmy's normally came with a 700R4 automatic transmission that were prone to failure. Very expensive to repair 2200 to 2600. Mine failed twice before I sold it. Hope this helps. Marvin

When ingage 4wd blows fuse

The four wheel drive actuator is probably bad. The actuator is located on the differential, I think the actuator and the sensor are side by side the actuator is the bigger one. Has 1-1/16 inch hex on it follow the wires back about 6-8 inches there's a plug there unhook the wires, see if the bolws now. If the fuse doesn't blow the problem is the actuator, it just screws out and the new one screws in and plug it in.

1994 K1500 4 Wheel Drive Issue

No probably not, first check the fuse for the 4wd in the fuse box if that's OK its likely the actuator on the front axle..........providing the shifter handle moves to the proper location and if its push button the lights light in the switch when selected...the actuator plugs into the wiring harness and screws into the front differential.an easy remove and replace part even for a novice.
