This was not an easy fix! The thermostat is directly under the throttle body and the exhaust shroud runs parallel in front of it. I took off the air filter and box, removed the bolts from exhaust shroud to get enough wiggle room to get my hands in there, and still had to bend my hand upside down to make the angle to get the bolts out; was about a 4 hour job all in all due to all the things that I had to remove. The thermostat bolts are 13 mm and the rear bolt is a SPLIT hole (wish I would have known this tip at the beginning!) you will need a 13mm crows foot or bendable slim ratchet to get to these bolts. This is the 2nd WORST thermostat placement that I've ever seen.

SOURCE: thermostat location

On a GM six clinder it is in the housing that the upper radiator hose is hooked on the upper intake. It is very difficult to remove with the exhaust cross over pipe in the way but is possible with some time.

follow the upper rad. hose from the rad. to the other end. It should be under the throttle body. I'm a certified Master Tec and these are not easy to do.

SOURCE: Where is the thermostat located on a 2003 pontiac aztec?

grab hold of the upper radiator hose, and follow it back to the engine block. The housing the hose is attatched is where the thermostat is hiding :)

2003 Pontiac Grand Am a/c will only blow cold when engine cooling line is crimped closed ?

You need to figure out what your heater thermostat valve looks like... locate it & replace it... (or figure out why it is not working).

Blend door/baffle... control solenoid.. whatever!!

Where is the thermostat located on a 2003 grand am gt 3.4 V6

The thermostat is located just under the exhaust manifold you will see that a metal pipe leads from the water pump to where the thermostat housing is. You must to remove two screws from where this pipe meets the housing and it is a pain to do unless you remove the exhaust manifold or have small hands.
