SOURCE: Any way to adjust the rear shocks on a 1996 vulcan 1500-a10 ?

dear susan shock adjustment for the rear shock are done with c wrench. you will notice at the top of the shocks there is a ring with 3 adjustment cams. the wrench is placed in the two holes you see on the shock opposite each other this is where the wrench fits you simply turn either direction for softer or harder ride. this adjustment puts more or less tension on the spring. i own a 96 vulcan as well hope this will help you jim

SOURCE: Vulcan 800A (not Classic) Can you adjust the rear shock?

There is a shock company that makes progressive shocks for your bike. That is also the name of the shock, and a lot of them are adjustable eye to eye length. But they are not cheap.

Hi, Kevin if you're talking about the shocks on your dune buggy I can't help you, however if you are talking about your motorcycle shocks you're in luck, the setting that compresses the spring the most will be the stiffest. How to adjust rear suspension?

the bottom of the shock is bolted through a link that has three different holes in it. you can adjust the height of the bike by pulling the bolt out of the hole it is in and selecting one of the other holes to raise or lower the bike to suit your needs. make sure you tighten everything up good when your done.

Can am spyder can rear shock be adjusted ?

Yes, there is a spanner tool in your BRP tool bag (located in the Front Trunk - or Frunk). You need to lift the rear of the Spyder so the rear wheel is off the ground which takes the load off the rear shock spring. The rear shock is located in front of the rear wheel. Simply use the spanner to turn the adjustment ring. Compressing the spring will make it stiffer, turning the adjustment ring so the spring is longer will make it less stiff.

I have a 08 Hyosung gt250r, i wanna know if i could lower it?

yes you can,but it needs to be done by a professional for your size and weight if you drop the front or rear it changes the way it handles and not for the good, you need to change the internals in the forks, and then for the back shock needs to be altered inside as well as the mountings.if it is too hi to put your feet on the ground it might help by lowering the foam in the seat could be a lot cheaper cheers hope this helps

Rear shock absorber, is there anything i should know other than taking the nuts&bolts off and removing and replacing the shock. Like special tooling or anything else that will make the job easier

No, most shock replacement is as simple as unbolting the old one and bolting the new one on. If it is identical it should go on with out any trouble whatsoever.

Most rear shocks are adjustable by turning the bottom parts of the spring perch the spring is more stiff. The front forks are not adjustable.
