Question about Zongshen Motorcycles
Hi, I have a zongshen and been told it the same as a honda cg 250 does any1 know if this is true? Im having a real hard time finding anything out about this bike let alone finding parts the engine number is zs167fmm any help appreciated @
Hi, Anonymous the vast majority of service, parts fiche, and owners manuals on the internet are "FREE" to download and all service manuals contain wiring diagrams in the back pages. The rest usually charge a modest fee of $15 and there is a handful of obscure, rare, obsolete, and very old models that are no longer or never were available and some were never printed in English. The Indian and Philippine markets are usually in E-book format only, for these rare occasions I shall look on eBay and find the cheapest one available. Most of the manuals will cover your exact make, model, and year otherwise one will be provided that comes as close as possible to your bike and will have most of the same info that an exact manual would have. If there is no $ sign after the manual link it is free to download.

SOURCE: Air filter smell like gas
It's perfectly normal for an engine with a carb to have an air filter that smells like gasoline. The reason being is because of a concept called "fuel stand off" - in a nutshell, the air that is going through your carbs towards the cylinders gets bounced back towards the air filter when the intake valves close. Since carbs aren't that smart, the air coming back towards the filter picks up even more fuel from the float bowl, and then heads in to your air filter box to say hello.

the gear box is not separate on the honda rebel, which means it is using motor oil. chaning oil is the best thing you can do, although you may also want to check your linkage. probably needs to come off, get scrubbed clean, and lubed with a bit of grease.
rebels are famous for their hard to find neautrals.
ALSO! when moving, try pulling your clutch in and slightly revving your engine right before you shift into neautral. this will disengage some safety device the purpose of which i do not understand.

There is a proper way to start an engine. Most bikes have four controls to assist in starting.

Many of those CRF have problems with the valves, check the valve clearances, as well as all the general maintenance items, clean carb, clean air filter, new plug.
If the clearances need more than one number smaller on the shims, it may be the start of valve regression.
