This is almost for sure going to be a bad cable connection. If it is an RGB cable then it is the red or blue. If this is a coax then the end needs to be replaced.

Hi there! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. It is my pleasure to help. Have you replaced the batteries? If you have not already replaced the batteries, please do so. If after replacing the batteries,no lights light up on the remote, most likely the remote is defective and will need to be replaced. For further assistance, you can reach me at: kimberly.escobar@dish.com or contact us directly at:1-800-333-3474

You don't state which model, but it may be that the fan is blocked with dust so is moving very little air. make sure that the box ix sitting on a hard surface so that the bottom air-vents are not blocked (e.g. by a carpet). On some Thompson models the fan does seem to run constantly.

How do i program my dish network remote ?
Answer The instructions for programming your dish network remote completely depend on the model of your remote. The model of your remote is more than likely located on the back of the remote. You can find more information here:http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental...

You DO have to have caller ID service with your phone company for this to work. If you don't, it won't. If you do have it, you need to go into the menu and activate the receiver to use the caller ID. If your problem is something else, you need to elaborate.

Check the TV settings. If it is set to AV, no channel selection will be available. If select the input to TV, and check.

Anonymous,

The channel that automatically comes on when you turn the receiver on is the last one you had it on when you last turned it off.

Hi Stephanie, I would be happy to assist you with your issue. Is the Caution Sign a Yellow triangle with a red exclamation point in it? This is normally a sign that the receiver is not connected to the internet. To be able to resolve this issue, we would need to know the model number of the receiver you have so we can walk you through the internet set-up and verify that the connectivity is active. If you would like additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!

Hi, I would be happy to assist you with your issue. DISH receivers are equipped with an "Inactivity Standby" feature which will place the receiver in a standby mode if the remote is not used in specified amount of time. The reciever does allow you to set the amount of time or if you would like, you can diaable the feature. This can be accessed by pressing the Menu button on the DISH remote and then select "Preferences" and then "Updates". If you are still having issues and need additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!
