Hi, the Hopper does have the ability to do Home Media which allows you to watch videos, listen to music, and view photos by sharing them to your TV. You can use this feature with a tablet or Smartphone which is connected to the same home network as the Hopper. Press the menu on your DISH remote and scroll to "Home Media", and introduction will load, select close and then on the next page will list an compatible devices currently connected to your home network. Select on the one you wish to connect with and you will then have access. If you are still having issues and need additional assistance, please feel free to PM DISH directly on facebook here: http://goo.gl/dgbNL Thank you!

If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. See it in "Mosaic" view. It will make surf easier.

To change which hopper your Joey is linked to if you go to the Joey and get the remote.
If you press menu, go to settings then to network setup, selected on whole home.
Now on the screen you will see the devices listed use the remote to highlight the correct hopper and press select and then save.

You are receiving IR interference from the fluorescent bulb in your tv heating up.
The best resolution would be to contact dish to confirm if your remote can be switched to UHF or if can get one that will.

You may also try repositioning your box slightly as long as it doesn't require un hooked the cables.

Is there anything that may be blocking the dish such as rain, snow, or tree branches? Also, please make sure all connections from the wall to the receiver are tight. Reset the receiver by unplugging it from the wall for 10seconds, plug it back in and allow the receiver to power back on by itself. If issue persists please reach me at:kimberly.escobar@dish.com with your account information for additional assistance.

My first suspicion rests with the quality of the HDMI cable? Expensive isn't ALWAYS good, although "cheapies" can be the worst offenders. If you have a friend that'd volunteer a temporary swap, you could determine if this is your problem. Sony rarely exhibits this type of problem.

Not sure about that on satBox and tv, but you might be missing some settings about how the device reacts to that tv in specific.
