DISH Network ES190482 Remote 40.0 ES190482 - Page 8 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Hi there Janice, If you have a Hopper system and have deleted all of your recordings, you may recuperate them by pressing 'Menu' on your remote, selecting 'DVR' then 'My recordings' and 'Deleted Recordings' Once you are in the 'Deleted Recordings Screen' you have the option to select 'Restore' (this option will allow you to restore all Deleted Recordings) Unfortunately no other receiver has the capacity to restore deleted recordings.

Hi there Janice! My name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Department with DISH. It is my pleasure to assist you. The procedure to Enable or Disable the Inactivity Standby Mode on your receiver will depend on the model of receiver you have. If you have a Hopper, you will need to press 'Menu' on your remote, select 'Settings', then 'Diagnostics, and at last 'Updates'. Once you are in the updates screen you will be able to Disable it Enable the hours. Be sure to select 'Save' once you have selected an option.
If you currently have a VIP 722 dvr, you will need to press 'Menu' > 'Preferences' and then 'Updates' Be sure to selecet the hours of Inactivity before the receiver goes into Stanby and select 'Save'. If you have any other model of receiver please email me at: kimberly.escobar@dish.com for further assistance.

Try to set it up with an other code to your device, and see the effect. With a universal remote control, we can't expect all the functions marked on it will work as it is. Just try to set it up with an other code to your device, and see which code give you the maximum functionality; and select it as. That's all we can do.
0018 0020 0041 0049 0050 0065 0101 0102 0107 0131 0139
0152 0161 0166 0177 0181 0195 0198 0209 0215 0314 0320
0379 0391 0408 0421 0634 0660 0667
These are the general setup codes to Sanyo brand TVs.
Try these codes. If you wish to get more; check the site linked here. It has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. See it in "Mosaic" view. It will make surf easier.

Hi there Kaci, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media department with DISH. I am sorry to hear you accidentally deleted your recordings. It is my pleasure to help you. Recovering your recording would depend on the type of receiver you have. If you currently have a Hopper system, under the 'My Recordings' tab select 'Deleted Recordings' once you are in the Deleted Recordings folder simply select 'Restore'. For any other model of receiver unfortunately this option is not available, meaning your recordings have been permanently deleted. If you have additional questions or need assistance with your DISH service, feel free to reach me at: kimberly.escobar@dish.com

xXComparedGaming7xX, I would be more than happy to assist you with this!

It sounds like picture-in-picture is enabled. To check this, look for a PIP button on the bottom of the remote. If there is one, press it and see if you can change the settings back to normal. If it continues, let me know!

Hi there, my name is Kimberly and I form part of the Social Media Dept with DISH. It is my pleasure to help you today. The channel or Input in which the Tv needs to be on in order to receiver DISH signal depends on the type of cable being used to connect the DISH receiver to the TV. If you are currently using a Coax cable the TV needs to be on channel 3 or 4 in order to get a pic, if you are using RCA cables it will need to be an Input. To change inputs on the TV we advice you to use the original remote for the TV or the Input/Source button on the Tv itself. Feel free to contact me at: kimberly.escobar@dish.com for additional assistance.

If you have your desktop or laptop Click on start, in the run box typ CMD
A box will appear, At the end of the C:\whatever it says
Type ipconfig /all
IT may scroll by you but use the scroll bar to scroll up and read the lines that you need. You laptop or desktop will need ot be using the same router when you use this test.
Just read the lines and write down the results and transfer that info to the Dish network setup.

Wayne,

It is easy to access that list. It can be accessed by pressing the 'DVR' button 3 times to access the daily schedule. This will show you all of the timers set up in a day.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Michele,

I would be happy to help with that. It sounds like the receiver may have been switched off the correct input. To change this, push the grey 'TV' button on the remote so it lights up. After that, press the 'Input' button to switch between them until you get programming.

You can also use the TV itself to swap the inputs if the option is available. Let me know if you have any other questions!

I can provide more information on this, Hazel.

It's possible the game is blacked out in your area. The reason being is we previously had the right to broadcast those games under our agreement with Peachtree TV, though now FOX wants a significant local surcharge to air those games. You can also utilize the Gamefinder tool at www.mydish.com/gamefinder to see if the games are on any alternate channels.

Check its speaker first. If found OK, check and replace damaged component/s at its audio output stage circuit.

Ryan, it sounds like there is a power problem going on with the receiver. In most cases we would have to replace the equipment, though there are a few things we can try first.

If the receiver is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, try bypassing that and connecting directly into the outlet. If it is already plugged into the outlet, try a different one if possible. You can also try unplugging it for about 15 seconds then plugging it back in.

If the problem persists, email me at thomas.faust@dish.com and I would be happy to see about getting a replacement receiver out there.
