20 Most Recent Element Electronics FLX1510 15.4 in. LCD TV Questions & Answers

the prob is you bought a tv that has no support for repair or techsupport. you usually end up paying more for the tv trying to get fixed. rather than purchasing name brand with manufacturer warranty. the panel is bad and i wouldnt even try to fix. thats why the tv was so inexpensive. contact element for some type of exchange program at flat rate.

After 3 years, you will need to inspect the DC filter caps inthe power supply, look for caps with leaking/bulging tops, high ESR.
That will be the starting points.

Ok, I am having the same issue. I just bought my tv - same model at the Target Black Friday sale. Can I ask, did yours make a low humming noise before you changed it out. I still am within my 30 day exchange policy, so I am thinking it would be wiser just to exchange it... but my concern is, would I get one with the same problem (or worse) in exchange?

Some sets and devices have HDMI control that can turn off and on devices connected to them. Look into the settings of both devices and search for anything to do with HDMI control.
