Filter housing probably has a cracked or bent o-ring. Put some food grade lubricant around the o-ring. If that does not help, replace the o-ring.

Theory of operation: Cold air is produced in the freezer section and is then circulated via a fan located in the freezer section. It sounds like you may have either an air leak from faulty door seals, ice dispenser door flap stuck in the open position, or the light staying on the door is closed.
A faulty compressor fan may also cause symptoms like that but you should hear the thermal cut out clicking off and on due overheating of the compressor.

You are correct -Temps not low enough and you have been thorough in checking things out. About the only thing I can think of now is to make sure that the condenser coils underneath are perfectly clean to promote max efficiency. If clean, and we know your compressor is running after all these years You may be, yipes, low on refrigerant. I am sure you have thought of that but did not really want to deal with it - don't blame you. If you want to pursue that venue it is a PIA but can be done, CAREFULLY because the freon level on refrigerators is a critical parameter, not like a room or car AC. If wanna try relist your question as DIY refrigerator charging.

Fridge keeps beeping or buzzing: The following is for Frigidaire models but others can be addressed similarly.

Several Frigidaire refrigerator models have an electronic control panel on the freezer door the owner can use to adjust the internal temperature, dispense ice and water and receive notification about issues such as the need to replace a water filter. The refrigerators also emit a beep for various actions and as an occasional alarm. Determining what causes the beeps necessitates some troubleshooting.
Temperature Controls ·A Frigidaire refrigerator's display panel blinks when the control panel is touched to set temperature controls. After pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, press the arrow buttons within five seconds to increase or decrease the desired temperature. If you do not press the arrow buttons within five seconds after pressing "Freezer Temp" or "Refrigerator Temp" on the keypad, the refrigerator beeps to indicate the current setting will stay in place.

Door Open ·When you leave the refrigerator or freezer door open, the refrigerator beeps. Also, the "Door Ajar" indicator illuminates on the appliance's display panel. Shutting the door and pressing "Alarm Reset" stops the beeping and turns off the "Door Ajar" indicator light.
·The Frigidaire refrigerator has a control lock feature that prevents use of its control panel or dispensers when the unit is locked. When the control lock is active, a beep sounds when a keypad or dispenser is pressed. Release the control lock by pressing the "Control Lock" icon for three seconds. A beep will sound, and the icon's light will go out.
Power Reset ·A power reset is occasionally necessary if the Frigidaire refrigerator's control panel does not work normally or a reset function on the keypad does not work. A power reset involves disconnecting power to the refrigerator by unplugging its power cord from the electrical outlet, waiting 30 seconds and plugging the power cord back into the electrical outlet. When the control panel resets, a beep sounds. If the refrigerator beeps even after a power reset and the beeps' source is not known, contact Frigidaire.

Check for ice on back wall of freezer. If there then the self defrosting mechanism is not working. If all systems are go then check for leaking door gasket, bad thermostat , and low gas situation.

Had this happen on my LG side-by-side a few years back. It's a common part. Find the version for your make and model. Easy ti replace. It is located where the water suppy connects to the bottm refridge.

First, pull out the ice bin and eyeball the ice maker device behind it. See if the switch is turned on and the green light is lit. If it's blinking, that indicates "ice stuck in tray" and you'll have to take it out and thaw the whole contraption out. It's not that hard: unplug the giant molex connector on the right side and use a small hex wrench to unscrew the obvious screw holding it to the left side of the freezer wall. Then you can firmly pull the device up and out until it pops free from the notches where it sits in the back.
If there's ice stuck in the device, or if it's just not filling properly, let it sit out for a few hours until it warms up. Depending on the humidity conditions in your freezer, something could have frosted over.Check the swing arm on the bottom of the device. Despite the appearance as a bit of useless plastic, it has a magnet attached to an arm inside the main ice maker housing which allows the maker to tell if the arm is extended or pushed part ways in. Ice being make and pushed into the bucket depresses the swing arm when it falls and the arm returns to the extended position via a small spring mounted between it and the unit unless the ice maker is full. This spring has a habit of popping out of a tiny hole and not providing the force needed for the arm to return to "make more ice" position. Check that it pushes back at you if you depress it.
Hopefully one of these items you've checked wasn't working because they're all easy fixes. Reassemble and add it back to the freezer, making sure that the water dispenser in the back of the freezer leads INTO the ice maker, not BELOW it. This would cause a mess. Make sure the thing is plugged in again, and the green light is back on.
If you're impatient about waiting for another ice cycle to start, depress the swing arm three times in a row. This should tell the ice maker to immediately dispense water and start a new cycle.
