Finally getting ink on paper!
yes. the routines are maintenance routines for service purposes only.
There are no more maintenace routines for the user to know.
What you can do is mix your ink with 2ml of 85% glycerol (glycerin alc) which you can buy in a drugstore for a few cent with 10ml of dye-ink.
the original ink contains that much, too.
It prevents the ink to clog the nozzels and does some cleaning within the head.
the waist ink absorber cant be cleaned. when you use original ink or the mix explained above you do not need any maintenance nor manual cleaning procedures anymore. The absorber last at least about 2.5 years. The spare part can be bought from a service partner for some small money.
If your ph drops some ink simply use some paper towel and dry the lower side of the ph when it is in parking position.

Non of the inks are working, even though they are all new carts.
so go back to maintenance mode. Make sure all carts are at full level, placed well and are secured. press 7 then 6 then 4 by help of arrow-up and set key. display should be init_all. press start bk-copy. when finished (maintenance) press 7-6-3 then start bk-copy.
leave maintenance after cleaning procedure by pressing 9 then 9. If youre lucky the generic ink hasnt affected the ph. print a test prit. if you cant see any blocks nor signs the ph needs replacement.
anyway: if you use generic ink do mix some glycerol (glycerin alc.) from drugstore: 2ml of 85%-glycerol with 8ml of generic ink. This prevents the ph nozzels from drying out or clogging!

DCP-J315W shows "Unable to Init 4F"
Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power. Then press and hold the power button for 1 minute. Now release the button, plug in the printer and turn it on and see if the error clears.
If it doesn't fix the issue, you probably have to replace the cartridges. They will cost about $65. Good luck!
