Hello, I have the same problem, did you manage to fix this problem? Thank you

You should first ensure that all the cable connections are firmly affixed both to the dvd recorder and the tv you are trying to use it with.

Secondly - it could be due to settings on your tv that the player isnt working. Check through your TV's manual for tips on how to adjust all the settings on your tv.

If all else fails return the unit. Send it back to whereever you bought it form or if its still in warranty, back to the manufacturer.

Connect your set top box to Scart L2 (the Right hand one).
Select Prog 1. Then Channel down until you get to L2.
This should work.

Hi
your system gives "disc error" when its lasor cannot read the disc (usually because there is dust/dirt on the lasor "eye") Unplug your system from the socket and take the top cover off your system unscrewing any screws that may be holding it on, locate the lasor "eye" A small lens, Clean the lens with a cotton bud dipped in methylated spirits rubbing gently in a circular motion then dry the lens with a dry cotton bud making sure to rub gently and do not leave any fibers on the lens from the bud, Put the system back together and plug in, Hope this helps,

The problem with these units is the filter capacitors in the power supply. They should be removed and replaced with 25 v.dc capacitors...total cost for the capacitors £5. If you don't fancy doing the repair your self, perhaps you know of a good friend who can use a soldering iron!

The capacitors are 2200 micro farads radial mounting, 680 and 1200, all should be at least 25v dc working for a reliable recorder. The existing ones are prone to "leaking" and should never have been used...shame on you JVC!

Same problem here. Nothing seems to work... Pressing any key makes no difference. Disconnected the power - nothing.

Is the image preponderantly encoded in PAL? Majority PAL and some NTSC? Or fully NTSC? Used transcoding presets? Transcoded project before you built to DVD? Note: Always run "TEST" before burning (to save plastic trees)? Determined whether system or project is faulty? Tested the DVD drive? Tried burning using another application? Closed all background-running resource hogs and applications? Did the project size increase the capacity size of the disk? Used a lower write speed? Disabled startup items and services? DMA: enabled? Updated Windows? Media compatibility? System requirements attained? Updated your application? Solved the issue(s); then write it down and share it with others. Still having issues? Revert back to the computer's factory settings and rebuild, upgrade, or invest in a high-end system and buy the full version of Nero 9, with all the plug-in features....and so forth. If time is money, the latter solution is your best bet. If money is an issue, then it requires trench warfare - that is, much research, deductive reasoning and time investment to isolate your specific problem...start by analyzing your source, and then your target...cause/effect relationship...you'll conquer all problems, eventually...political machinations aside. NO it dosent sound like there related problems at all. Now you say you get interferance or is it more like a static noise only when using the dvd player??? If thats the case then you have an output device problem as its breaking down and crackling into your input to your sound amp or the tv. Its a problem that will need to be traced with a scope and a test disk. as it could be a D to a converter or an op amp IC, or even as simple as a filter cap. Good Luck
