Hi there, Tim!

It's possible the dish may need to be repointed. Try running a check switch test. Go to Menu > System Setup (6) > Installation (1) > Point Dish (1) > Check Switch > Test. This will provide more info on the satellite signal.

We can definitely check this out! I hope it has been resolved by now. If it hasn't, please check the batteries and make sure they're good. If they are, try re-programming the remote. I have included the steps below for that!

Addressing Remote to Receiver:

1.) Go to System Info screen.
2.) Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3.) Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4.) Press the pound (#) button.
5.) Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
6.) Test remote and see if it works.

If the problem continues, make sure there are no sources of interference like lights or heat near the receiver. If it continues after, then we will need to send a replacement remote. You can reach me here or at thomas.faust@dish.com for further assistance!

If your DISH remote is programmed to operate your TV, you can press the TV button at the top of the remote and release it. On the number pad, press the number 3. If you get a picture, press the SAT button on release it. You can now operate your satellite receiver.

If you don't get a picture, use the TV remote to place the TV on channel 3 or you can use the channel button on your TV.

The model number of the remote will be located on the back of the remote on the top usually a 2 to 3 digit number with a decimal point. I will list here for you the more popular models of remotes as well as the instructions for addressing your remote to your TV. 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.4 IR remotes - 505, 671, 627, 520 and 766
5.0, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 IR remotes - 627, 505, 506, 457, 111, 520 and 766
4.0 and 4.4 IR/UHF remotes - 505, 627, 555 and 766
6.0, 6.2, 6.3, 6.4 IR/UHF remotes - 627, 505, 678, 825 and 520
20.0 IR and 21.0 IR/UHF remotes - 505, 598, 502 and 627

Instructions for address the remote to the TV.
  1. Turn the Television On.
  2. Press and hold the TV Mode button until all the mode buttons light up red.
  3. Enter the three-digit code using the buttons on the number pad.
  4. Press the pound(#) button.
    Note: The LED will flash three times.
  5. Test functionality with the TV.
  6. Return to Step 2 if the remote is not able to turn the TV On/Off, change the volume and mute the television.

Hi csmith744my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network. With the blue screen there are acouple of things it could be, you will want to make sure the TV is on channel 3if it is connected by COAX cable. If it is on an input channel it will be theRCA connections, they are Red, White and Yellow. Hey there! This issue is usually caused by the tv being on the incorrect channel. Depending on what tv you are at, here are some steps to try. At tv2, the tv will need to be on 60 or 73. At tv1, the channel is 3 or 4, and may need to be on an input. Usually video1 or 2, etc... If this does not work, try to unplug the receiver from the power source for about 10 seconds. Hope this helps!

Open the unit and trace the power cord connection from the wall plg wire to the FIRST connected control inside the unit. Voila!

Adjust the distance to the chime on the B U M setting. Go into the duffilator chip settings control and twist clockwise until this disappears. Shouldn't take more than a 1/2 turn or so.

Be sure the safe door is held in tightly enough for the sensor to register it is in the right position for the lock to engage when you are pressing the "close" key sequence.
