Currently there's no windows 7 drivers for this model, but we can still run this printer by installing the xp drivers in "Compatibility" mode. If you don't have the Xp drivers, download it from the link below and follow the instructions;
Olympus p-400 windows xp drivers
As soon as you click the link, download will automatically begin, you'll need winzip or winrar program to unzip the files. Extract the drivers to a new folder, right-click on the Setup file, click "compatibility" tab and check/tick "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select "Windows XP (service pack 2)", click "Ok", Now run the "setup" and connect the printer when you are asked to do so. This will definitely fix your problem. Many drivers and softwares which aren't compatible with windows 7 can be installed and run in the same way.

If you have problem, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Had the same problem. The colours were mis aligned, or out of register. Tried everything, but nothing worked. Was going to toss it out, then tried changing the paper size in the print setup window of Photoshop to A4. Just make sure whatever Photo program you are printing from to choose A4 as the paper size. Printer worked fine after I did this.

Olympus has not supported that printer on the Mac in 10+ years. Also checking the Apple printer driver support page I do not see ANY Olympus printers currently supported by Apple: OS Printer and scanner software available for download

I would suggest replacing that printer with a current model photo printer (also Dye-Sub) from Canon. The Canon Selphy Dye-Sub photo printers produce flawless professional glossy prints: Compact Photo Printers

There's none. Turns out the printer is unsupported in Leopard and above. Gutenberg driver doesn't work, either. Olympus support says to throw out the printer.

This is an old model , the only Windows drivers that Olympus made for it are for XP and 2000 at 32 bit - there isn't any for 64 bit on any form of Windows.

There is nothing you can do about that software, the producers probably dropped support for the mac. The only thing you can do right now is use an open source driver. just google up "open source printer drivers mac" I think there should be a open source driver for it. I'm pretty sure it will support your printer to get it up and working. However you might find that some of the features are missing. If you really really like the software, then you should just use it with another computer, like a pc.

The driver for the P-400 printer will work in Windows Vista. To install it you will need to install it in Windows compatibility mode XP service pack 2. Download the P-400 driver to your desktop from the Olympus website. Open the zip file, right click the mouse on the setup.exe file then left click on Properties. There will be a compatibility tab there. Select XP Service pack 2 and then click Ok. Connect the printer to the computer and direct the found new hardware wizard to the folder for the files it needs to load the device driver for the printer. If this does not work, you may want to call Olympus Tech support for assistance. Their telephone number is 888-553-4448.
