Hey, I had to replace the drive in mine, It's not too hard. Remove all the screws from the bottom of the case. Snap out the keyboard there are little snaps at the top of the esc & delete key use a small flat balde screwdriver. Then use a credit card around the edges of the main body to help snap it apart. Remove the top half, remove the silver speaker cover. Take out all of the screws holding the motherboard down. Remove the motherboard, The hard drive is under it. A note the ribbon cables are very very sensitive be careful when messing with them you don't want to tear them it will ruin your day ;-)

You need DDR SDRAM - 333.0 MHz - PC2700 (184 Pin)

The current is a CD-RW / DVD-ROM combo - Integrated, 24x (CD) / 8x (DVD-RW) / 2x (DVD-RAM) this is actually quite sufficient, most CD ROMS never burn at full speed anyway. If you really want more capabilities in my opinion it is much better to go to an external CD/DVD/BR burner, it will work faster and be a lot easier to install.

Current HHD - 40.0 GB - 4200 rpm IDE, you can go to 100 GB if you need to, get a 7200 RPM for more speed.

JVC was originally made in Japan, but now, most are actually made in China! Do not look for JVC shop, just look for BIG computer repair shop, take laptop in and ask. Many keyboards are now standardized, and even if yours is not, the JVC keyboard can be obtained in China. I have been there many times and am certain of this. Of course, you need to look in a big city, like Shanghai.

BTW, if the 4 keys simply do not work, but are not missing any parts (small white things that look like folding chair legs -and another part, a silicone rubber cone-shaped object), then you might simply need to:

1 remove the 4 keys (pay close attention to the way the parts are assembled, and don't forget to remove silicone part too)

2 then VACUUM the whole keyboard (in case food or liquid caused this problem).

3 Now reassemble each key externally, with its nylon parts attached

4 place the silicone cone in the correct keyboard location

5 carefully orient the assembled key in the correct position and PRESS down firmly (but NOT forcefully!) until you hear the little "folding chair legs" SNAP into place.

Which 4 buttons do not work? are they in a row? you need to remove the keyboard, the bezel usually snaps off and find a part number. - If you can, blow it out with compressed air. Most likely cause is a broken copper PCB or ribbon trace. If you have a part number I can ship you a new Keyboard.

yeah you can delete it again and configure the way your did it before but if you don't know how to connect using the router back again to your Jvc smart tv then ask guidance to experts

JVC Computers &... | Answered on Aug 24, 2019

You can't. If you're connected to the web, JVC will update automatically if an update is available and depending on the age of your smart TV.
