Hi Ray Lynam, for what you say, you could have a problem with the speaker output
I suggest you remove the cover and look for two F2 and F3 fuses of 4Amp each that correspond to the output of the speakers, check if they are burned, if so replace them, ONLY FOR FUSES OF EQUAL VALUE 4AMP, do not put more value because you could produce major damage, test the equipment and if they burn again, then if you have problems at the exit stage
In this case, look for a specialized technical service
I hope you can solve the problem

I would guess it's the Surround Sound mode button. Various modes in Surround Sound do not use all 5 speakers. Often the button pressed repeatedly changes between the modes. So if you press it again it might restore the sound mode to the one you had. I can't be more specific as you did not give the model number.
You could try the Denon website to see if they have a free PDF of the user manual, if you have lost it. You will need the model number for that though.

Try unplugging it. Another thing is some units have a fuse in the back. Check the fuse with a multimeter for continuity. If meter shows OL then replace the fuse.

Hello Terry, your Denon AVR 2808, is not compatible with HDMI 4K signals, only for HDMI type 1.3, HD signals
You can use your TV to connect all HDMI 4K sources and send a fiber optic connection from the TV to the Denon to get the sound of the equipment connected to the TV

Any power amps able to connect to pre-out can be used and of course, choosing a power amp with large rating is better.

" "I have seen a manual I which it said that dc issue, do anyone know how to disable the power on fault checking" You cannot do this. Protection can only be kicked out when no dc is coming out from speaker terminals. This holds no mater whether differential and voltage amp are defected (leakage) or protect detection SMD transistor(s) is/are leaked. They act as a switch. Download X2100W service manual and enter debug mode to check if DC or ASO(over-current protect ) makes protect.
