Secondly, it is very difficult to tell exactly which is the problem. I would however put most of my concern in the refill ink. Since it is from a third party and not recommended by the manufacturer this ink may be designed for regular paper only. Ink that is used for photos has a quicker dry time to keep it from running. Since your ink is running it may be that the ink is not designed for photos paper.

You may also be able to drop down your print quality, this will use less ink and may dry faster. This can be access by going into your print settings before printing a photo. With what I have seen in the past, switching over to a manufacturer recommended ink cartridge will probably fix your problem.

Usually you need to access the embedded web server on the printer by typing the IP address of the printer into your web browser address bar. This will open a window that will have all the settings available.

Please make sure the print head is seating properly as it should.
Another reason could be the contacts of the print head are not connecting properly with the main printer due to dirt. Remove the print head, clean the contacts of the print head and where it seats at the printer. hope this will help

Yes it is true machine will print because its maybe need some type of repairing or the machine is not a printer of a photocopy

Try this approach:1. Uninstall your existing printer driver. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark X5600 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. After the uninstall process, reboot your pc when prompted.2. When your pc turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. On your computer, go to Start menu > right-click on Computer > click on Properties. Take note of the System Type.3. Use the link below to download and re-install the corresponding printer driver for your operating system:- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 32-bit- Lexmark X5650 Printer Driver for Windows 7 64-bitSimply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.4. To re-install the Lexmark OCR scan software, insert the printer software installation CD in your pc CD-ROM drive.5. Click on Install > Install Additional Software > select the Lexmark OCR Scan Software > continue with normal installation steps.
Then try to create a PDF or Scan and Edit text (OCR) to verify that the problem is fixed.

The problem with XP is that its not support by any new printers. However, you may be able to use the universal HP PLC5 driver to run the Lexmark.. According to Lexmark windows XP is a supported OS for this printer. Go to the Lexmark site, support and download the driver. Here is the link
