In a three wire MAF sensor, one terminal will be the negative wire, the next terminal will be the signal wire, and the last terminal will be the current wire, the way to know which terminal is the signal, is to connect the negative terminal of your voltmeter to a good ground in your vehicle, next make sure that there are not any wires that may get tangled in the fan or belt of the car and start the engine. probe the terminals in the MAF sensor, the ground terminal will show nothing , one of the remaining two will have constant 5 volts, and the signal wire will vary its current depending on the engine speed, between 0.6 volts at idle to around 4.5 volts at wide open throttle.
Once you have the positive prove of your voltmeter its the signal wire.

Radio Shack has a pretty good search feature for old instructions on their website. You will need their part number off the unit, which will be something like "20-321". Do a search and you can get a PDF instruction manual for it online.

How to manage a long waiting queue in restaurant/clinic/service centre?

In Singapore, we noticed that many restaurant/clinic/service centre/etc usually forms a long queue either waiting for table or seeing a doctor or waiting to be served.

It seems that none of the owner are keen to look into a better system to resolve such unpleasant situation. In fact, you will notice that loss of business due to frustration queuing (esp. restaurant), angry customer (esp. service centre) and fear of contact (esp. clinic) in most cases.

Here is a great solution that I would like to introduce to have the above issue resolved. Check out the paging system by Blufi Wireless Singapore Pte Ltd, it helps to resolve most queuing challenge.

Your antenna should not make any difference with power or receiving. Is the scanner mobile or in a room? Hard to imagine the connector being broken. You could test the antenna or even the BNC connector on the scanner. Try another antenna. If you wiggle it, does it start receiving? You may have a short in the BNC to the receiver. Other than that, look to power issues.

Radio frequencies are different from country to country. NZ will use different frequencies than Canada. Canada and the USA have agreements in place because they border each other on what freq. is used for what. NZ likely has its own list. Your radio is not programmable to NZ frequencies. Sorry!
