its a carriage home position sensor error u have to clean the sensor and the stip guide which has been attached on carriage... its due to dust on sensor.

The separate print head is to blame. Needs replacement. Not cheap.

Many of the Epson printers ink cartridges have a sensor thatallows the printer and the associated software knows when to replace theprinter ink cartridges (even when the cartridges have ink within them) and whenthe printer needs to be cleaned. You mayreceive error messages if that sensor is faulty. In that case you shouldreplace that sensor. Hope this will help you. Good Luck.

This error 00010005 popped up when I was messing with my Print head for cleaing purposes.when I put the print head back into place the lever mechanism that is attached to the cutter blade detached from itself not allowing the printer to move the print head freely.below is a picture I scanned in from my Quick Reference Guide that shows how the mechanism should be. When I saw this I then realised what had happend and was able to put down the cutter blade to re attach the lever mechanism. After this I did not recieve the service code again and the print head was able to move freely. I hope this helps.

you don't need to replace any thing just before on your printer press and hold Down, Right and enter buttons on printer panel and than on the printer after on leave the pressed buttons its show a new menu on it press down on adjustments and than enter again press down on counter clear and than enter again reset it than restart printer. thanx

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Yes, the error code indicates it is a thermistor problem and it means the problem is with the printhead of the printer, the solution for this problem is replacing the printhead, but before that, you can try to remove the printhead from the printer and then clean the contacts with a cotton swab and distilled water, after that dry them up and reseat the printhead very carefully.
