Hi,
I can understand that u get TWAIN driver not installed or required error on PC while scanning.
Twain drivers are imaging driver which are bundled with complete software.
Incase if you try to replace just the twain driver it may corrupt anoth files.
It is always advisable to clean the computer and reinstall the complete software.

I have a fix-all solution for you ink-jet printer people(only if it not a plotter). If it doesnt work after replacing an ink-cartrdge or print-head, through it away (recycle it) and by a LASER PRINTER. FIXED

A Right Cartridge Incorrect message generally indicates a communication error between the All-In-One and the cartridge. This can be caused by a faulty cartridge; however, it may be due to a simple interruption in the communication between the cartridge and the All-In-One.
The procedures below will help you to identify the cause of the error and resolve the issue.
Rebricking the All-In-One and Resetting the NVRAM
NOTE: The embedded links in the table lead to specific troubleshooting documents.

Step Action 1 Power off the All-In-One and remove the power brick from the back of the unit. Wait 20 seconds. Then reinsert the brick and power the unit back on.
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to step 2.
No: Print a test page. If the test page prints, the error is resolved.
2 Reset the NVRAM of the All-In-One
Did the error message return?
Yes: Continue to Checking the Cartridges.
No: Print a test page. If the test page prints, the error is resolved.


Checking the Cartridges

Step Action 1 Open the top cover of the All-In-One. Remove both cartridges. Close the top cover. 2 Power off the All-In-One and remove the power supply brick from the back of the unit. 3 Reinsert the power supply brick into the back of the All-In-One and power the unit back on.
Does the error message reappear?
Yes: Skip to Contacting Lexmark. There is a hardware issue with your printer and you need to contact our technical support center.
No: Continue to step 4.
4 Clean the cartridge contacts (click here for instructions) and the AIO carrier contacts (click here for instructions). Continue to step 5.
5 Power the AIO on, reinsert the black/photo cartridge, and close the top cover. Power the All-In-One off and then back on.
Does the error message reappear?
Yes: Power the unit off and try step 5 with another black/photo cartridge. If the error persists with the new cartridge, proceed to Contacting Lexmark.
No: Continue to step 6.
6 Power the AIO on, reinsert the color cartridge, and close the top cover. Power the All-In-One off and then back on.

Does the error message reappear?
Yes: Power the unit off and try step 6 with another color cartridge. If the error persists with the new cartridge, proceed to Contacting Lexmark.
No: Try printing a test page. If the test page prints, the error is resolved

First, unplug the Lexmark printer from your computer. Then uninstall any existing Lexmark X5470 driver from your computer. Go to Start menu -> Programs -> Lexmark X5400 Series -> Tools -> Uninstall. Uninstall the driver. Reboot pc when prompted.
When your computer turns on, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit service type. Go to Start menu -> right-click on Computer -> Properties. Take note of the Service Type.

Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software.

hmmm..with faxes in memory, that message means emptying out the memory, not the print cartridges..poor use of the word on Lexmarks' part.

To change the display language, please execute the following steps:
Step Action 1 From the control panel, press Copy Mode. 2 Press pattlnk_10122006_1256-menu.jpg. 3 Press pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_left.jpg or pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_right.jpg repeatedly until Tools appears. Then press the pattlnk_10122006_148-okay2.jpg button.
4 Press pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_left.jpg or pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_right.jpg repeatedly until Device Setup appears. Then press pattlnk_10122006_148-okay2.jpg. 5 Press pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_left.jpg or pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_right.jpg repeatedly until Language appears. Then press the pattlnk_10122006_148-okay2.jpg button. 6 Press pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_left.jpg or pattlnk_10122006_148-arrow_right.jpg repeatedly until the language required appears on the display. 7 Press pattlnk_10122006_148-okay2.jpg to save the change.

Have you replaced the ink? Perhaps one color is low or one of the pin-heads is broken. If the pins on the printer have broken you will need a repair technician or just buy a new printer.

This is common problem with lexmark cartridges they detect refilled cartridge you need to clean the copper contacts of the cartridge and then insert it if it still shows " color cartridge replacement required" message then you need to buy original color cartridge.........
