For removing the SIM Card, insert the end of the 'SIM eject tool' (supplied in the box) into the hole on the SIM tray. Press firmly and push it straight in until the SIM tray pops out. If you don't have a SIM eject tool, you can use the end of a pin/paper clip. Pull out the SIM tray and remove the SIM card in the tray. The angled corner of the SIM ensures that the card fits only the correct way in the tray.
With the tray aligned as shown, carefully replace the SIM tray containing the SIM card
in iPhone.

Hello,

Since you forgot the pass code for your i-phone then it means you will have to reset the pass code.

Every Apple iPhone has the ability to use a "passcode"--a four-digit number that must be entered to bring the iPhone out of standby mode when it has been locked. If you are the first owner of the iPhone and have forgotten the passcode that you initially entered, you can simply reset the passcode by connecting the iPhone to the computer that was originally used to activate it. However, this does not help if you purchased the phone used, and are not the original owner. Put your iPhone into recovery mode to restore the iPhone and clear the passcode.
  • Connect the iPhone to your computer using the USB cable.
  • Hold the power button on the iPhone down. The screen will change asking you to use a slider to power the unit off. Use the slider.
  • Press the power and home (bottom-center) buttons simultaneously. The unit will power back on. After a few seconds, the screen will change to a warning triangle. The iPhone is now in recovery mode
  • Launch iTunes, and click on the iPhone icon on the left side of the screen. Make sure that the "Summary" tab is selected, and scroll down until you see the "Restore" button. Click "Restore."
  • Click "Don't Back Up," then click "Restore." The iPod will be reverted to its original factory settings, which will clear the passcode. Note that this process will also remove all other data from the iPhone, including music, contacts, notes and saved e-mails.
But if you are able to remember the code, it will save you the stress of all these procedures.

I hope this helps.

Good luck.

Try a reset. Hold down the power key at the same time as the round home key until phone powers down. Release buttons only when you see the apple logo, then wait a min or two for phone to re-boot. You will not lose any data on the phone.
If this does not work, try an actual system reset. Sync iPhone to computer to back up essential data ie contacts apps etc, then go to settings general and reset. Reset all settings as a last resort. This will give you a fresh start and should sort out the majority of any bugs the phone has. A resync with you computer will restore apps etc.
Hope this helps and if so please vote.
Thanks
Jim

Hello

Download and install iTunes if it isn't currently installed on your computer. You can download the program for free from the iTunes website

Connect the provided USB cable to the bottom of the iPhone, then insert the other end of the cable into an available USB port on the computer.

Wait a moment for the computer to detect the iPhone. Once it does, iTunes launches automatically.

Allow iTunes to sync with the iPhone. Once it does, you can adjust, add or remove content to your phone.

Press and hold the power button and Bezel button down and hopefully that reboots your phone. Careful not to press to hard on the on and off button . That may be an issue for you to consider if the reboot doesnt work.

If you've done everything to remember / recover that passcode and still no hope, then the only solution for you is to restore your device over iTunes. But with the passcode lock in effect on your iPhone, you need to do a little trick to bypass that. Here are the steps:
  1. Plug/connect your device to a computer (PC or Mac)
  2. Turn it OFF
  3. Press and hold the POWER and HOME buttons together for EXACTLY 10seconds
  4. Release the POWER button but keep holding the HOME button until the computer beeps indicating that a USB device is recognized.
  5. Open iTunes and restore your device.

Warning: Restoring will delete all data on your device but this is the only way for you to recover it.

If you don't get it at first, try holding the buttons for lesser time or see the other procedures on my tip (link below):
