I could not find a manual for your SPW2201SS, but I did find a manual for a SPW2200SS. (Look for clogged hoses, in and out!) Sadly it only lists three 'error codes' on Page 27 and they include: E10 E21 E31 Summit SPWD2201SS Washer download instruction manual pdf

You must mean when the AGITATOR is moving back & forth! The drum spins only in one direction. So...
The agitator is driven off a gear train in the transmission. If the noise is occurring during the AGITATOR’s motion, you’d best have that transmission serviced, and soon; before it could lock up and cause more serious damage.
Call around for estimates in your area for prices to replace the transmission if that is necessary. Ask for a parts and labor breakdown and for terms of the service warranty, which usually covers parts for about one year but labor for much less time. And be sure you use a technician qualified to work on your machine. You could even ask for a reference or two.
Don’t be afraid to have this service done, even on an older machine. If done properly it will serve for at least another 10 years. But if the cabinet is rusted and/or you’ve seen frequent repairs with this machine, replacing the machine is a better decision.
By the way, when you make a service call and inquire in a manner that reflects that you know about these things (like “I’m pretty sure the transmission is the problem because the noise occurs only when the agitator is operating”) you will gain more respect from a serviceman with integrity. He will know you’re serious about having this fixed and he might even suspect it’s already been looked at, so he may be more likely to give you his best price.

Hi Lori, you shouldn't have to grease anything on that machine. What is the problem with the washer that you think you have to grease it? If it's squeaking while it's in the spin cycle,it has a leaking tub bearing and the bearings need to be replaced. You should call your local repair company to check it out and give you a price quote. Hope that helps.

Alarm Mines are a great deterrent. Imagine sneaking around and then the mine goes off and you think someone has shot you. :>) A friend kept having is garage broken into, he installed 12 gauge blanks in an alarm mine and never got visited after it was tripped one night.
