If the LVDS cable [the flat data cable, that connects the T'Con baord to display panel] have any loose contact at any one end connectors, this kind of fault can occur. To most models of Sony LCD TVs, the T'Con board stated above, will be inside the display panes, and could not be accessible. Check your TV. If the T'Con board is not a built-in one type, just re-seat both ends of the LVDS cable. If it is built-in type, contact the authorized service center. You can't access it without disassembling the display pane, and it is a skilled work. If you wish to get some details, http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Pull up older posts.

It can be a internal conector problem, normally it is necessary to change the LCD display as it is internal to this part. You should take the set to a service center to be shure, and see if it can be fixed otherways.

Bus clock and/or data lines low at power on. 6 blinks of standby light denotes this. Actually, it should be a motherboard problem. Your TV need a thorough checkup before confirmation. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes to Sony TVs, check this link.

That is usually an indication of an issue in the left and right inverter boards or a beginning of main panel failure. In either case I would replace the inverter boards first. not too expensive. If that fails than you are looking at a panel replacement, that is minimum 600,00 dollars for the part.

That should go away on its own with the introduction of the input. If it is on even when something is playing than it is in the settings menu under video display.

I have seen about a dozen questions here in the last ten days with several models with the same type of problem, Sony of course says they are not aware of this issue---typical for them to deny until smoke turns to fire.....

Much like saying my car will not start----If total dead look for the fuse---if not able to open set etc consider having a technician look at the set and get an estimate for repair.

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured there are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter
