Even thou you have changed the batteries, the terminals could be contaminanted and are not making a good electrical connection. You should remove the batteries and clean the battery contacts inside the lock with some rubbing alcohol to clean off any residue, etc.

The beeping is a low battey indicator and if you've put in new, fresh batteries (always replace all the batteries at the same time), it can only be that the contacts are dirty.

PS: All your pass codes will remain in the lockset memory even for extended periods of time without any batteries installed

Here's a free manual you can print out with complete installation and programming instructions you can keep for addressing any other concerns you might have in the future.

I thought this might be easier for you to work from, since you want to reset the lock prior to entering in your new master code and any other access codes you wish to let others use.

It is easy and straight forward to program and use.

You might not be pushing the correct sequence of buttons to unlock the door. You should only have to enter in your code to unlock the door, unless there was a problem when the lock was programmed.

Here's a copy of the user manual so you can verify the codes were entered properly and that the lock is set up correctly.

You can reset the lockset to change the master code and then enter in other codes for use by contractors, delivery people, etc. which you can then delete as you wish without having to give out the master code.

Rather than give you the simple step-by-step instructions for resetting the lockset, I've provided a link to the user manual so you can have it available for use and reference, as I assumed you didn't have yours any longer.

You will need to reset the lockset in order to program in your own lock code. Rather than just provide you with the steps to do that, I thought you might find it more useful to have the complete owner's manual for this lockset, so you can address any other questions or issues you might have with the lock in the future.

Such as having more than one code to allow for you to enter, while giving access to others using a different code, etc.

Here's the manual for the lock:

Recut from another key.

If no keys, a locksmith will put in a new cylinder in with a set of three matching keys. My whole hotel in the UK was fitted with Weiser locks.

I'd try a new battery to "rule out" that as a problem, sometimes the contacts need a "turn" of the battery to make good contact.
