Can I enter a figure like 56.37 without having to manually hit the . key? I have tried every place from F 6 3 2 1 0 and I can't get it to read or print as 56.37 or 21.24 or stuff like that...

As far as I am aware there is no way to enter a number which is not a whole number in decimal format, without using the decimal point key "." and this applies to every single machine I have come across in a more than 40 year career, the last 18 of which have been in Information Technology and computing.
Sorry if this is not the answer you wanted.

I want to set the decimal place without using the decimal key--example: hit the 1234 keys and the shows $12.34

You can select the A (K . A) and then the # of decimal places (F 6 3 2 1 0) you want. So if you want to enter 1234 & it calculates 12.34, this will work.

What is the default setting for the f cut 5/4 and the 4320 add 2 I don't know what to have these options set at thanks EW Seattle

The selector you are asking about is the "decimal selector". The result displayed/printed, will be in a format according to the position that you have selected as follows:
f = floating (the result will be in the number of decimal places that were entered on the keyboard
4= fixed 4 decimal places (x.0000)
3= fixed 3 decimal places (x.000)
2= fixed 2 decimal places (x.00)
0= fixed 0 decimal places (x)
add 2= (add mode*,fixed 2 places) ($.00)
Note* "ad mode" automatically enters the decimal place when entering the number on the keyboard. If you enter "123", the displayed ammount will be "1.23". If you enter "1", the display will read ".01". This is a useful setting when adding a list of numbers in a dollars/cents format, however, be careful, if entering a whole dollar ammount "three dollars" be sure to enter the decimal point, or enter the number as "300". If you don't, the result will be ".03", instead of the 3 dollars you intended.

Sharp EL- M332 caluclator- have a 'O' along top line- can't seem to get rid of it- must have accidentally selected something. It is not showing any decimals.

Hold (C.CE) then whilst holding it press (M+) for approximately a second and it will move one place along in the three settings (F, 2 and 0) F shows full decimals, 2 shows 2 decimal places and 0 as yours is set to now round to the nearest whole number. I have just been sat at my desk trying to work this out as my calculator was too set to '0'. Took me reading the 'DEC DET' text with lines pointing at 'M+' and 'C.CE' to finally crack it!

Hope this helps.

How do i set the adding machine to have only . 2 decimals points and average up....example 6.2955 I want it to read 6.30

The decimal selector works for only 0,1,3,4, and 6. 2 does not work and unfortunately that is the only one I need to use, (who cares about 5). Can this be fixed?

I lost my decimal point

You need to be in add mode, and have 2 decimal places selected for the result.
To change to add mode, make sure the 'K . A' switch is in the 'A' position. To get 2 decimal places in the answer, move the selector in the 'F 6 3 2 1 0' switch to the '2' position.

You can see the above described at

this page which shows the users manual. The manual shows examples.
