This product does not change your audio settings. It only replicates your screen onto another display. Primary uses are for presentations. i.e. to show an image on a monitor and also on a projector.

Hi recently purchased a 55"hd smart tv hitachi and the sound quality is hurrendous do you have any recommended settings for the audio thankyou

No matter what you do to the sound settings you will not be happy, the factory sound is poor, I suggest you buy an inexpensive 5.1 sound system and have that hooked to the TV variable audio out. eBay is the best place to find them at a bargain price. I use a computer sound system with jack adapters to hook it up, it really rocks the house.

I have a Samsung HDTV and am trying to get Surround Sound for the PS3 Have the Panasonic SA-HT65 system any help

hook the ps3 sound cables to the Panasonic system or get some of the splitters and hook one end to the tv and the other to the sound system, im pretty sure the tv doesn't have an out for the sound so without a couple splitters its either the tv or the sound system

I have the x1 turtle beaches plugged in but i cant hear anything. There just isnt any sound coming out except for a little buzzing.

Try the X1 on your PC or laptop to check if it's working OK. if you can hear fine on the PC, then there's nothing wrong with the headset and you should check the XBOX connections or RCA splitter cable.

I just got the Gigaware 2 port usb powered vga splitter and I have ywo monitors connected. Both monitors show the same thing but I want to extend the desktop across both screens, however Windows XP does...

A display splitter will only mirror the screens, you cannot extend the desktop via a splitter.

Most portables cannot support dual monitors without a docking station.

Not to computer saavy so please keep it simple. I have a Sony Vaio VGC RA840G desktop with 5.1 surround sound. Also have a Samsung LN46A850 S1F HDTV. Also a home theater system. This is hooked up to cable...

From the looks of the TV manual you have everything right, so it's very odd you're running into this problem.

Have you tried swapping through the sources? I find with one of the TVs we have on display at work that any time I'm having some troubles with it I will change the source from PC to something else, then back to PC.

If that doesn't work then I'd suggest you try reseting the sound settings back to factory default. The instructions are on page 45 of the TV manual. From the TV menu select "Sound", then "Sound Reset", then either "Reset All" or "Reset Sound Mode". I would suggest reseting all.

Last option would be to try using the headphone jack in the side of the TV, though this is a last resort kind of thing since you would have to unplug it every time you wanted to use the cable box.

Hope this helps :)

Cant extend workspace

The splitter you bought allows you to split one video signal into two. For example, a teacher using a computer to teach a class. She has one computer, one monitor she can see and then the splitter allows the students to see what she sees. To display independent screens you'll need to add another card to your system. Microsoft Help and Support lays out how to do this with Win 2000. No splitter involved.

Altec lansing acs54 installation

Hello there!! jlee432
The 4.1 speakers you has, and output sound , depend on the sound card you has on your laptop. If you has inside the laptop a sound card 5.1 you whould not have problems get it sound, BUT you have to set on multimedia and sound for 4.1 according.
you only have one output sound on your laptop, so you have to use 2 speakers or buy a splitter and get 2 speakers sound.
you also, can buy a pcmcia sound card, 5.1 from creative labs, to solve this. but check if your speakers of course sound of.
good luck
