Question about 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless (3crwps10075-us) Print Server
I just bought a 3Com OfficeConnect Wireless (3crwps10075-us) Print Server which I want to wirelessly connect to my OKI B4100 printer. In order to set the print server up, lugging it into my router I can see the device as connected (and it's MAC address) and the IP address that the router (DCHP) allocates to it. However, on my mac, if I put that IP into my browser, I cannot connect to the device! (note: this is still keeping the print server connected over LAN). Similarly, adding the printer directly using the IP, when sending a print-job it says router "busy" and nothing happens. It seems that somehow I cannot connect to the print server, despite knowing its IP in the same network! Any ideas? I have a Mac-laptop running OS X, V. 10.6.8
Check you firewalls. Sometimes you will have to allow certain mac addresses or certain ip addresses (may be less secure than the mac address), then change sharing level to full, before things begin to work.
Please post back and let me know if this helps!
