Question about Audio Players & Recorders
My friend has just sent me a bunch of audio files in m4a format and I need to convert them to mp3 as my media player doesn't support this format. Which software to use?

I went back and re-read the manual (phamplet) I downloaded the MP3 files directly into the e200. Works great now.
Like I said. DUH

You can have a try of this Wondershare Video Converter by which you can convert video to almost any video format for your players or cell phones including your philip. You can free download it at:http://www.dvd-ripper-copy.com/video-converter-platinum.html#181.
Hope that helps

All support for the SA6045/02 is on this page:
Scroll down to Software and drivers to see the Media Converter software.
Click the zip file and best would be to save the file to a location on your computer.
After the download finished, unzip the file with WinZip or Winrar.
Open the folders of the extracted files:
MC_188.8.131.52_SA33xx_SA61xx_Intl_GM_CD02004_0928 start Setup.exe to install Media Converter Software, ArcSoft.
MediaConverter for Philips converts following formats to player, into WMV :
AVI (Microsoft video I format), MPEG-1, 2, 4, DVD (*.vob), MOV, WMV, RM etc.
Needs Quicktime (for MOV) and Windows Media Player 11 (for WMV)

SOURCE: RE: GPX Touchscreen Media Player
you will need an advanced movie editor or converter that can convert the video from the supported types(even if it is already an .avi file) to: 320x240 resolution, using the xvid mpeg4 codec for video and mpeg layer3 mp3 audio codec. the quality can only be as high as 64 kbps i believe.
the player itself comes with a converter either built-in or on a cd. this converter sucks though and wont sync up the audio to the video very well at all. so i suggest you use a high quality converter so the videos will be watchable.
