Question about Whirlpool GS6SHEXNL Side by Side Refrigerator
Ice maker has ice to be dumped but won't dump. I had the same problem before, tech told me that the gear breaks all the time. Looked simple enough to replace and certainly not worth the $132 I was charged for labor. Looking for instruction on how to replace the gear and how to prevent this from happening again?
You should replace the entire icemaker. It will cost about 100 dollars and takes about 15 minutes. The 3 fastener screws and one wiring harness.
