Question about Timex IronMan Race Trainer Heart Rate Monitor Watch
My heart rate monitor works fine for the first 10 minutes of my run. After 10 minutes my watch reads, "NO DATA". It always seems to stop working at about 10 minutes into my runs. I have tried replacing the battery in the strap and had no success fixing this problem. Sometimes I can rub the heart rate strap a few times and press the heart rate button on the watch to get it to restart/show my heart rate but even when it does get going again it never lasts longer then 10 minutes.
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: strap broken on timex heart
Hi, Almost any large dealer like Wal-Mart, Sears, or Target will have Timex replacement straps and bands for most popular watches and monitors. Sometimes a local Authorized Dealer will have specialized products that the department stores don't even carry without ordering.
I have had good luck with Wal-Mart on watch accessories. I've also ordered straight from Timex in Little Rock, Arkansas, ph. 1-800-448-4639, but it usually takes more time for just parts.

SOURCE: I have had my Timex
The heart rate is recorded at these abnormally low levels because the sensor has lost its sensibility. This can be caused by only 2 things:
1 - the battery for the watch is almost dried and its voltage has dropped so low that the sensor can't work no more. You will have to replace the battery. because your watch is a sealed type you should take it to a repair shop: they will know how to open it carefully enough as to not damage the rubber seals.; and if they can't open it without damage they will have replacement rings.
2 - the sensor itself (which basically is just a microphone that listens to the beats) is clogged by dirt. Wash the watch in hot soapy water and look very carefully for cracks in the rubber of the strap - if you find one then the sensor has been permanently damaged by the sweat that seeped in. In that case it's time for a new one.

I´m experienced the same problem of incorrect readings after a long time without use. I cleaned the rubber parts of the chest strap with soap and water, than I use some silicone grease or other silicon liquid to keep the rubber hydrated. Make a careful cleaning in the contact area between the rubber and the plastic parts, the fissure in these area use to be full of "sweat dust".

Tips for a great answer:
There are two ways to find the user manual for your Timex watch.
1. Find your watch on the list below and click on the language link for your manual.
2. Find the 3-digit module number located on the caseback of most Timex products and click on the corresponding language link for that number in the Module Table at the bottom of the page.
