Doesn't sound like it's a speaker - more likely a fried chip or transistor causing harmonic distortion.
It's usually more cost effective to replace modern audio components than to fix them.

SOURCE: Car speakers turn on and off randomly and make crackling sound?

The answer is: "Yes." If your speaker wiring is such that they all share a common ground wire, and that ground wire is shorting out, it can cause all speakers to go silent when it is grounded (shorted). I would check the wiring, and replace any cracked wiring, and if the wiring looks like the shielding is worn, replace all the speaker wiring. Monster cable is the best, but any heavy copper wiring works fine. I often use 110V. appliance wiring to install car stereos.

A quick quess of mine is the following:

The OVERLOAD indicator lights up when the receiver is maxing out on the current it is sending to the speakers. My guess is there is possibly something wrong with the receiver itself, especially since the B speakers won't play. Either that, or something is broken in your speakers or you are using a set of speakers that have too low an impedance rating for your receiver.

Hi, maybe you have speakers misconnected or speakers wiring with short circuit (joined bare cables), please check them because if this continues for a long time, your device could get damaged.

Your speaker may be blown take out the speaker that is hooked up and attach another one a house speaker would even work, and i bet your speakers are blow if not check the wires and make sure you have them connected properly if not check the wires going to the harness and to the speaker and if not i think the radio is fried you can also take a long speaker wire take radio out the dash and run it to the speaker if it does still the radio is fried take it back before 90 days is up!

Can i hook up 4 8ohm speakers to my marantz 2252b

You can but you will have to put two speakers on the main L/R and two speakers on the remote L/R. DO NOT HOOK UP MORE THAN ONE SPEAKER TO A CHANNEL. Doing so can result in the amp running hot and damage will occur.

I have a panasonic SA AK25 with no manual. There are 2 sets of wires coming out of the speakers .how do i hook them up at the back ,thanks

you need a basic meter to ohm out the wires. most speakers ohm out around 8 ohms. some speakers have wires that can hook up to more speakers. others use an external power source to boost the output of the speaker. I would ohm out the wires and find the closest thing to 8 ohms. then with a small 1.5 volt flash light (AA) or (AAA) battery you go across the wires that you think are the load (speaker) if you hear a poping or crackle sound then you have found the wires that are the speaker wires. this would be the wires to hook up to the amp.

Stereo connection

Hi spanky

Sorry for the delays in getting back to you. Been busy here this week.

OK. to connect the 2275 to the 1152,there are 2 ways of going about this.

You can plug the pre- out of the 2275 to the power amp-in of the 1152. In doing this you are using the power amp section of the 1152 and the preamp functions of the 2275. Your other gear like CD player, tape deck and so on also plug into the 2275.

the other(better) way is to plug the pre-out of the 2275 into the tuner inputs of the 1152, leaving the volume at about 40% on the 2275 and use the 1152 as an integrated amp. This means you are using the 2275 as a tuner only. When you do this, you will need to use an RCA lead to jumper the pre-out/poweramp-in connections on the back of the 1152, and the 2275 ... L to L and R to R respectively.

I am still wondering why you want to use 2 integrated amps (each having a preamp and a poweramp section) The only real benefit the 2275 brings to your system will be tuner functions. You could just get a tuner and run the 1152 to be an ideal rig.

Let me know what your ideal setup you are wishing to build would have. Speakers, other gear like CD, tape deck, etc.

New (old) house with stuff installed when we got it

IF YOU HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF CABLES AS SPEAKERS HOOK THESE UP TO YOUR AMP THEN SUB TO SUB OUT PUT ON YOUR AMP WITH A SUB CABLE OR PHONO THAT REACHES FROM AMP TO SUB.SET AMP TO ALL CHANNEL STEREO OR MODE THAT SENDS STEREO TO ALL SPEAKERS,ALSO SET SPEAKER SIZE IN SETUP OF AMP TO SMALL AND SUB OUT PUT TO SUB ONLY.YOU SHOULD GET MUSIC AROUND THE HOUSE.IF SOUND IN SAY BEDROOM IS NOT AS LOUD AS BATHROOM USE THE TEST TONE TO LEVEL OUT EACH SPEAKER.

HOPE THIS HELPS.

No output from left channel after crackling sound

Marantz SR 5200/6200 lost audio or crackling on left or right channel except in mode s-direct is now fixed !
The root cause is a defective inegrated circuit on DSP board (the one with digital inputs). To fix it change the chip CS4391 by a new one or better by the improved version CS4392. On my device a capacitor was cut close to this IC : replace one 1uF after changing the IC. For any question search me with my callsing "F5RCT"; i have a spare IC for the one who is able to change it !
