Question about HP DeskJet 712c InkJet Printer

1: the paper jams when it tries to print

When I try to print on my deskjet 712C, the paper gets a dent on the top and often crumples up in the printer. If it prints it starts in the middle of the page and the bottom is all smeared.

my 712C HP will print at the very top edge of the paper and print to the middle before it pulls another paper to print over the top edge to the middle. How do I adjust the printing? Since this is an older printer (8 years old) will it not recognize MS Vista?

Normal 0 I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it will feed through the printer. The reason for this, is in some cases I have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this way, saving costly repairs.
Hope this helps. Bud

My DeskJet 712C will not print anything when I try printing in color, it will, however, print with just black when I set it to do so. How do I get it to print in color, too?

Blocked print head nozzles
Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent blocked print head nozzles. You may have blocked print head nozzles.
Try the printer maintenance to clear the printer nozzles.
After several deep cleaning attempts and there is no improvements in the print then a new print head is required. Also try - Removing the print head, run it under hot water for 2 mins, then let soak for 10 min. then used a can of compressed air to dry thoroughly. It may fix the blocked nozzles.
A new print head maybe expensive and it maybe more cost effective to purchase a new printer.

My HP DeskJet 712c InkJet Printer's "ink light" won't stop blinking!! I have tried changing ink cardridges, checking for paper jams, unplugging and replugging cords and re-starting computer. None...

Hello.

Give this a try:

1. Power off your printer
2. Remove and reinsert the cartridges. You should hear a "click" when properly seated.
3. Power on printer.
4. If light is out, print a test page for realignment.

Note: Be certain that the tab is removed from the cartridges and you are using "genuine" HP cartridges.

Hope this helps.

My hp 712c printer prints only the pink band when I run a color test. I have replaced the original cartridge. Any ideas about the cause and solution.

The cause is either:
* clogged ink-jets not allowing yellow & blue ink to move from the ink-cartridge onto the paper;
* busted electronics inside the printer, causing the ink-jets to not "spray" at all.

Use the software to try a "print-head-cleaning" cycle.
If that fails to improve things, it's time to replace the printer.

Paper twisted while entering printer rollers and is jammed. How can I get it out?

Try to turn off the printer, open the compartment and check the roller. try to pull the paper and at the same time flip the roller in such a way that the paper will move out. If it is jammed and crumpled like what I exactly experienced earlier, remove the paper as fast as you can.

Turn on the printer, wait for the inkjet devices in a neutral position. Then insert the paper and start printing again. If it didn't work, try to hold the tip of the paper in horizontal manner while printing and make sure you remove the entire paper before the next page prints itself...

When my papers starts to pull in to print, it pulls to the left and starts to crumple up. what to do

Print roller is out of alignment, needs to go to Printer repairer but be aware that replacement printer is probably cheaper than repair.

HP Deskjet 712c Printer will not print in black & white

you need to check the head of the printer, im sure is bad, it depends how old is the printer but the head on the printer goes bad if printer has not been used for long time or if you left the old empty cartridge seating inside for a lont time, you can do a head check on the settings of the printer and also do an alignment thank you

HP 712C Printer won't print envelopes

hi dear

Choose envelopes that are close to 20-lb paper in weight and thickness. Also, make sure that the adhesive on the envelope is capable of withstanding the heat that the fuser puts out to keep the printing on the page. If you don’t, the envelopes will come out of the printer already sealed. If envelopes are coming out of the printer wrinkled, they may be too stiff for the paper path. Open the rear of the printer and let them exit at that location instead.

oke
