Sleep apnea is a genuine rest issue that happens when an individual's breathing is intruded on amid rest. Individuals with untreated sleep apnea quit breathing over and again amid their rest, some of the time many occasions. This implies the cerebrum - and whatever remains of the body - may not get enough oxygen.

There are two sorts of sleep apnea:
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA): The more typical of the two types of apnea, it is caused by a blockage of the aviation route, for the most part when the delicate tissue in the back of the throat crumples amid rest.

Central sleep apnea: Unlike OSA, the aviation route isn't blocked, yet the cerebrum neglects to flag the muscles to inhale, because of precariousness in the respiratory control focus.

Hazard factors for sleep apnea include: Being male, overweight, over age 40. Having substantial tonsils, a huge tongue, or a little jaw bone, a family ancestry of sleep apnea. Nasal check because of a veered off septum, hypersensitivities, or sinus issues.

Sleep apnea can build the danger of medical issues, including: Hypertension, stroke, heart disappointment, sporadic heart thumps, and heart assaults, migraines, diabetes, wretchedness, intensifying of ADHD. You can consult with doctor, if she/he advise to have CPAP mask while sleeping, you must go for it. Don't forget to take CPAP mask reviews from sleep apnea patients.

Moreover, untreated sleep apnea might be in charge of poor execution in regular exercises, for example, at work and school, engine vehicle accidents, and scholastic under achievement in kids and young people.

Sleep apnea is a condition that affects many people and can cause very real disturbances to people's sleep and their lives. Sleep apnea is characterized by very loud snoring, followed by long periods of silence when breathing either stops or nearly stops. Usually the body is then alerted by the need to breath and the person sleeping takes a very sudden breath/ loud snore or gasp. This process is very disruptive to sleeping.

Because throat tissues partially block or fully block the airways, snoring is almost always associated with sleep apnea.

SOURCE: Is snoring only caused by being overweight? I am asking because my husband has started snoring recently but he is really skinny so I can't understand why he is doing it.

Being overweight is definitely a factor in snoring but there are many other reasons why people snore, such as; having a cold or any sinus issues, after drinking alcohol, allergies and even just from the anatomy of a person's mouth. If it's really bothering you, ask your husband to check with the doctor what might be causing it.

What can i use for snoring or how to stop snoring?

The number one thing that generally helps sleep apnea is to loose weight. Lots of people have good luck with salf water rinses before bed. There is also a jaw sling thing that works pretty well. Here it is: http://stopsnoringrx.com/anti-snoring-chin-straps-do-they-work/

However, if sleep apnea is so severe that you are not sleeping well and always feeling tired, you probably need to go to your doctor. They may prescribe you an apnea machine. http://www.cpap.com/cpap-machines.php

What are some tips to reduce or stop snoring completely?

Snoring is a kind sound made by vibrating tissue in your throat and upper airway. At times, it represents the presence of sleep apnea, a more serious medical condition.

Better to contact an ENT and make an appointment at a sleep clinic. You may have sleep apnea, which is a very serious but treatable condition.

Individually for me, the anti-snoring spray device did the trick. I have been trying and really me a better result and I would like to recommend Asonor. For further details visit Anti Snoring Treatments

What is the best snoring aid or device to use so that I can go to sleep finally?

If you snore heavily, you can try a chin strap, a moistening throat spray, a dental insert that helps hold the jaw forward, and wearing a T-shirt backwards with a tennis ball sewn in the breast pocket so if you roll onto your back you\'ll roll right off it again. (Laying on your back worsens snoring for most people--and so does sleeping face down with your neck twisted.) BUT : Most importantly, ask if you should GET TESTED for Obstructive Sleep Apnea! If you snore so heavily others complain or you wake yourself or you are often tired and sleepy, etc...you may have diagnosed sleep apnea, and it can be lead to sudden heart arrest in your sleep and long-term heart damage over years. It raises your risk of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, depression, and more. Find out!

I went to my doctor to complain about my snoring and he said he thinks I may have OSAS. What exactly is that?

OSAS stands for obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. This is a condition where you stop breathing during sleep for more than 10 seconds, more than 5 times an hour. Snoring can sometimes be an indication of OSAS which is potentially dangerous, so it's important that your doctor follows up with some tests.

How do you know which CPAP snoring masks are best for you?

FOR ME I HAD TO HAVE A SLEEP STUDY DONE. IT IS A 2 DAY PROCESS. THEY HOOK UP ALL SORTS OF PROBS ON YOU AND MONITOR YOUR BREATHING. THE TEST WILL SHOW HOW MANY TIMES YOU STOP BREATHING. THEN YOU GO IN ON ANOTHER DAY AND THEY TRY DIFFERENT MASK DURING THE STUDY. ONCE YOU GET ACCUSTOM TO IT THEY MONITOR YOUR SLEEP AGAIN. THIS TIME, IF IT WORKS, YOU SLEEP THE REST OF THE NIGHT. FOR ME IT WAS WORTH IT.

What is a sleep study? My doctor says I might need one because my snoring has got so bad recently.

A sleep study is a way of following your sleep patterns to see what your sleeping habits are. Sometimes it can be done at home, but often patients are sent to a sleep clinic for a night where sleep testing (officially called polysomnography) can be done to check your brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate and breathing rate while you sleep.

Don't worry it's not an invasive test and aside from needing to fall asleep, you wont need to do much!
