If your doctor recommends you experience a sleep consider, or Polysomnography, you might ponder what is associated with this test and what's in store. sleep examines help specialists analyze sleep issue, for example, sleep Apnea, occasional appendage development issue, Narcolepsy, anxious legs disorder, a sleeping disorder, and evening time practices like sleepwalking and REM sleep conduct issue. Frequently these clutters can't be related to a typical office visit-your specialist needs to assemble progressively decisive proof while you're sleeping.

If you doctor recommends to use CPAP mask, you must check the CPAP mask reviews before purchasing the product.

Sleep apnea is a genuine condition in which your breathing is blocked, making you wake up so as to begin breathing once more. Standard snoring doesn't regularly wake you up. One approach to differentiate among snoring and OSA is to search for the manifestations of sleep apnea: awakening amidst the night heaving for air, nonstop drowsiness amid the day, and continually napping with your mouth open.

A sleep study is a way of following your sleep patterns to see what your sleeping habits are. Sometimes it can be done at home, but often patients are sent to a sleep clinic for a night where sleep testing (officially called polysomnography) can be done to check your brain waves, oxygen levels, heart rate and breathing rate while you sleep.

Don't worry it's not an invasive test and aside from needing to fall asleep, you wont need to do much!

SOURCE: Is snoring only caused by being overweight? I am asking because my husband has started snoring recently but he is really skinny so I can't understand why he is doing it.

Being overweight is definitely a factor in snoring but there are many other reasons why people snore, such as; having a cold or any sinus issues, after drinking alcohol, allergies and even just from the anatomy of a person's mouth. If it's really bothering you, ask your husband to check with the doctor what might be causing it.

What can i use for snoring or how to stop snoring?

The number one thing that generally helps sleep apnea is to loose weight. Lots of people have good luck with salf water rinses before bed. There is also a jaw sling thing that works pretty well. Here it is: http://stopsnoringrx.com/anti-snoring-chin-straps-do-they-work/

However, if sleep apnea is so severe that you are not sleeping well and always feeling tired, you probably need to go to your doctor. They may prescribe you an apnea machine. http://www.cpap.com/cpap-machines.php

If you are looking for the ways to stop snoring naturally, then it is possible in the case when you have the snoring problem in initial stage or we can say low level snoring issue which create little problem or create very low pitch of irritating voice after sleeping.

In case of heavy snoring problem you need to take the help of immediate doctor consultation or medication to get relief from snoring. So I would like to recommend you ASONOR. For more info visit at

What is the best snoring aid or device to use so that I can go to sleep finally?

If you snore heavily, you can try a chin strap, a moistening throat spray, a dental insert that helps hold the jaw forward, and wearing a T-shirt backwards with a tennis ball sewn in the breast pocket so if you roll onto your back you\'ll roll right off it again. (Laying on your back worsens snoring for most people--and so does sleeping face down with your neck twisted.) BUT : Most importantly, ask if you should GET TESTED for Obstructive Sleep Apnea! If you snore so heavily others complain or you wake yourself or you are often tired and sleepy, etc...you may have diagnosed sleep apnea, and it can be lead to sudden heart arrest in your sleep and long-term heart damage over years. It raises your risk of diabetes, hypertension, obesity, depression, and more. Find out!

I went to my doctor to complain about my snoring and he said he thinks I may have OSAS. What exactly is that?

OSAS stands for obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. This is a condition where you stop breathing during sleep for more than 10 seconds, more than 5 times an hour. Snoring can sometimes be an indication of OSAS which is potentially dangerous, so it's important that your doctor follows up with some tests.

How do you know which CPAP snoring masks are best for you?

FOR ME I HAD TO HAVE A SLEEP STUDY DONE. IT IS A 2 DAY PROCESS. THEY HOOK UP ALL SORTS OF PROBS ON YOU AND MONITOR YOUR BREATHING. THE TEST WILL SHOW HOW MANY TIMES YOU STOP BREATHING. THEN YOU GO IN ON ANOTHER DAY AND THEY TRY DIFFERENT MASK DURING THE STUDY. ONCE YOU GET ACCUSTOM TO IT THEY MONITOR YOUR SLEEP AGAIN. THIS TIME, IF IT WORKS, YOU SLEEP THE REST OF THE NIGHT. FOR ME IT WAS WORTH IT.

I have always snored and just put up with it but lately my husband is complaining a lot more about it. He says I need to see the doctor but I think it's not a medical issue. When should I seek a m

Snoring affects millions of people and sometimes there are things that can be done about it, improving both the sleep of you and your partner, so it's always worth getting a medical opinion.

But if you are feeling any of the following, you should definitely see your doctor;

1. If your snoring at night is loud and heavy and you feel tired during the day

2. You gasp for breath or choke during the night while you are sleeping

3. You fall asleep at strange times ie during a meal or while chatting.
