G.E. part# WB27K5047 has been
replaced by G.E. part# WB27K5048,unfortunately neither part # is available anymore unless you have access to one,there is a place to send in your defective range control and have it refurbished though

My GE JKP45 double oven needs a new control panel (part # WB27K5047 which is no longer available) There are a few place I've found on-line that refurbish electronic panels, or if it only has a loose...

according to the website i use to look up part#s while the part# you have is indeed not available a replacement for it is WB27T10050
to removeand replace it unscrew the screws that hold it to the cabinet pull it out about 4-6 inches,remove the grill directly under the control panel on the upper oven and look for screws around the panel where ya have pulled it out of the cabinet
to see yourself the replacement part# go to searspartsdirect and enter the model# and you will see the eoc (electronic oven control) as item #16 under the control panel and top tab

What is the diference between an EOB5630, and EOB5630B, an EOB5630x etc. I have an EOB5630 oven fan element to replace but need to be sure I get the right one. Are these models interchangeable??

I would guess they are the same element in Australia the last letter in electrolux ranges signifies the color or type of clock fitted the B would be for Black ovens the X would be a multi function oven they all have the same fan element

How do yo hook back up the oven glow bar wires without putting them in the wrong place.

If you are concerned about the two electrical wires that connect to a replacement heating element, don't worry. It's AC, the heating element is just a big resistor, and the wires are electrically interchangeable. Just make sure the connections are clean, the wires aren't mechanically stressed, the metal terminals aren't too close to the metal parts other than the heater connections, and the wire insulation won't be in direct contact with the heater.

If you have more than two wires, or you are talking about a mechanical issue like how to mount the heater element, you'll need to post back with the model number and a more detailed description of the problem (for electrical issues, include the wire colors). Many ovens have a copy of the wiring diagram somewhere inside the back of the oven - this will show what color of wire goes where electrically.

You have indeed been sent the wrong element. the one you have recieved was fitted to earlier models than yours, and is not interchangeable.
You need get it changed for the correct element.

Oven heats to 185 degrees in a hour on preheat

Find the bake ignitor (you may need to remove bottom drawer or oven cavity floor to get to the ignitor). Turn on the bake. If the bake ignitor comes on (starts glowing after a few seconds) - check the amperage on the bake ignitor wires when it's on. If the ignitor is a round style - amperage should be 2.5-3A, if the ignitor is rectangular - 3 - 3.6A. If less than 2.5A or 3A respectively - replace ignitor.
Ignitor part numbers for round style ones: 4342528, WB2X9154, SGR403, 5304401265;
rectangular styles: 12400035, WB13K21, WB2X9998, SGR412, NR020, 5303935066, 814269, 9753108.
Ignitors of the same shape (i.e. rectangular) are interchangeable, if you can splice the wires.

Good luck!
