My wi fi orange light is blinking on my lexmark x4650 printer

The blinking WiFi light on your printer indicates either your printer is trying to communicate with your wireless network or your printer is not connected at all. For a quick fix, try to disconnect your printer from the power outlet. Power cycle your router and reboot your computer. Then, power on your router first, then your printer and lastly your computer. Check the WiFi light on your printer. If it goes to a solid green, that means you are connected back in your network. If not, you may reset your printer's wireless network adapter to its default settings. From the printer operator panel, press the Setup button > Network Setup > Reset Network Adapter to Default. The WiFi light on your printer will momentarily turn off then back on solid orange. Then try to run the Lexmark Wireless Setup Utility on your computer to reconfigure your printer to connect to your wireless network.
I hope this helps.

My Lexmark x4650 has a status of showing ready from my laptop but when i go to print something it just does not print and they just queue up. The green wireless connection is showing green on the printer....

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, try to print again to verify the connection.

What is the status of the wifi light on the printer? orange or green? blinking or steady? For the Lexmark X4650 Windows 7 64-bit driver, click on this link Lexmark X4650 driver for Windows 7 64-bit. Download, execute the file and follow the instructions on the software. Thanks.

Bought a lexmark x4650 on July 31, 2010. Three weeks ago it failed to power up, however I can see the red light is on inside the printer for the wireless to work. This light goes off when it is...

Try to remove the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the rectangular black box behind the printer where power cord is attached. Replug after 15 seconds. That should give the printer enough time to reset itself. If printer won't automatically power on, press the power button. If that doesn't help, try to plug the printer to a different known working power outlet in the wall. Bypass any surge devices or power strips. If problem continues, it could be defective power adapter issue or worse. If this is the case, please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance. Thanks.

I cannot delete a document from my print queue on my lexmark x4650. I get the deleting message but the document does not delete and now I cannot print any other document. How do I fix this?

Hi,

Have you tried restarting your PC? Once you do this, unplug your printer power cord for a few minutes, uninstall your printer from your computer and reinstall the software. Then plug your power cord back into your printer and try printing your document once more.

Hope this solves your problem.
Best wishes,

My Lexmark X4650's wifi light is off. I have tried to reset the wireless settings but when I try it says "network connection in progress" and goes back to the set up menu. How do i resolve this? Thanks.

Great job on trying to reset the printer's wireless network adapter. Somehow, the printer's memory is stuck to thinking to connect to a wireless network when it's not communicating at all. Unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the rectangular black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging back the power adapter in the printer. That should refresh itself. If wifi light won't turn on orange after the printer's on ready, reset the wireless network adapter again. Thanks.

My lexmark X4650 gives me a message that the network printer is busy when I try to print wirelessly. There is no other computer trying to print.

Make sure there are no print jobs stuck in the queue then unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Wait at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in. When the printer's ready, try printing again. If the problem persists, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to further investigate the problem. Thanks.

Printer will not become ready.

Unplug the power adapter from the printer. The power adapter is the black box behind the printer where the power cord is attached. Make sure the other end of the power cord is plugged in straight to the power outlet in the wall, bypass any surge device or power strip as it may cause power loss. If you check around the silver contacts on the power adapter, there should be a green LED light on. If not, that's the cause of the problem. If it's on, plug it back in the printer in the right position and properly secure it. If it won't power on automatically, press the power button. If problem persists, the printer itself is the problem. If these are the cases, I suggest you contact Lexmark Technical Support to further investigate the problem.
