Question about Ricoh Aficio IS420 Flatbed Scanner
Whenever i try to scan it hangs up and doesn't do what it's supposed to
i checked the error logs and i get 3 errors
1. Launching of the scanner driver has failed
2. delivery type unknown
3. uinable to find file
everything was setup properly previously and nothing has changed and no one has gone into the configuration of it to make any changes.
it was setup as a network device and it was set to scan to a network folder.
I've tried turning it off and on, and restarting some services on the server that are associated with this specific device.
any help would be appreciated.
You were able to scan okay before? If you can print but not scan, generally it's a firewall or permission problem. You could try creating an exception for the Ricoh in your firewall software.
The folder that you scan to hasn't moved, has it? Is the path still exactly the same? Try turning off your firewall and/or anti-virus software and see if you can scan then.
