Question about Samsung RS2630SH Side by Side Refrigerator

Open Question

Samsung RS21DCNS makes ice but does not dispense. I have checked the microswitch and that seems to switch (although I have no idea if the electric side of the switch is working). The gasket flap also doesn't return to closed position unless I lift the little piece of plastic by what looks like a solenoid.

there is a double valve at the back bottom lhs. check continuity of both valve coils but doubtfull this is the problem. the fault may be that the filling tube is frozen. try looking in this area

You will need to replace the "fountain assembly" on the unit. Here is a link to the part.

SOURCE: The ice dispenser hangs down and does not spring back to make a seal. The solenoid to open it seems to be working so looks like the return spring has broken. Ice and water dispense OK.

once you have the screws out , the pannel can be slid down toward the empty screw holes to gain access.

Samsung rs22dcms not dispensing ice (ice is made)

My guess is that the doo switch is faulty or stuck open so the relay never closes to power the auger. I would check the door switch first then the auger motor.

Ice dispenser will not work

first check ice making unit is filled with ice, if empty sounds like ice maker water inlet valve not operating.if ice bath full then problem with ice making unit itself, either heater, ice harvest switch or geared paddle motor faulty.either way would recommend changing out the whole unit, alot less fuss and not too expensive

Front ice/water dispenser stopped working.

I had the same problem. Turned out to be a microswitch under the lever used to activate it. The microswitch fell from the original position so it wasn't turning on anything. I tried gluing into position but the fumes from the crazy glue messed up the switch and I had to replace the whole rig.
The part is under the control display. You can pry it open from the left side.

Water dispenser

the slide switch ice - water may not be making up. the paddle inside the door operates a common microswitch to either dispense ice or operates the water solenoid. check out the selector switch.
