1998 Jeep Laredo continuous clicking sound passenger side under dash it runs battery down ignition is off continuous clicking please help thank you

A number of people in the link report the same problem on the Jeep Forum and there are a number of fixes.

I also found this for you.

The problem seems to be a short in one of the rear dome lights, which seems to be affecting two fuse circuits. The temporary solution was to remove one fuse and replace another (blown), and remove the bulb from the bad dome light. I had to remove "fuze#5-15 amps-Interior Lighting", this stopped the clicking noise, I replaced blown fuze#8-15 amp-Overhead Console, keyless Entry ..." This fuse also seems to effect the alarm system (contrary to the documentation), and I think that was what was killing the engine. The problem existed before fuse#8 blew. Removing fuse#5 may have solved the problem, but the other fuse blew while I was testing the dome lights, and the jeep will not start without it.

Found lots of wires bare or broken in all the door wiring harnesses ( in rubber boot that goes to the door)I first checked both fuse 5 and 8 but both o.k. After fixing the broken wires found fuse 8 had blown. Replaced that and all is well again. Thanks for the advise got me looking in the right direction.

. Fuse box located in passenger side door jam...check #8 fuse if its not blown check others...if it is blown, check your radio, and interior lights for good ground
Clicking noise under passenger dash Jeep just shuts down

What does each fuse goes to in each fuse box?

If you suspect a blown fuse, i suggest that:

Instead of wasting time searching for the exact location, why not just remove each fuse 1 by 1, and replacing them as you go so you don't mix them up. If you have any blown fuses, you will find it in under 30 seconds. If you don't know the difference between a good vs blown fuse, ill post a picture to help you identify.

If your car has the round clear fuses with metal caps on each end, then blown ones will be burned black.

Cigarette lighter fuse volvo

Find your fuse block, remove fuses 1 by 1 , replacing each that you find is ok with the original. (no need to replace a fuse that is still good) untill you find the blown fuse. Replace the blown fuse with a new one. A blown fuse looks like this:

ALL BLOWN FUSES WILL HAVE A BREAK IN THE MIDDLE SIMILAR TO WHAT IS SHOWN ABOVE. needle nose pliers works very well. This procedure will not take no more than a couple minutes.

Installed DVD player stopped working possible fuse

It is possible that you have a blown fuse. In this vehicle there are 3 possible fuses that you can check. Under the hood on the drivers side you will find the fuse and relay center. Remove the plastic top by depressing the tabs, You will see under the cover a list of fuses and locations. Look for the IOD or Instrument on Demand fuse, it should be a yellow 10amp fuse. You can remove it and visually look to see if it's bad. The next fuse will be the RDO or Radio fuse, again remove it and inspect the small wire inside to see if it's blown. The last fuse will be the IGN-Batt fuse. This fuse can be moved from on side or the other so note it's location, either to the left or right before removing. This fuse lets you choose to have power on in the vehicle from the battery even without the key on in the BATT position. Again you can remove it and inspect the fuse.
If you find any fuse blown, (the little wire broken inside) you should only replace it with a fuse of the same size. These fuses are mini fuses and can be purchased at any auto parts store or local service garage. If you don't find any of these fuses blown you may want to check the DVD player out in another vehicle to insure that it doesn't have a problem. It too has a fuse which may either be located inside the DVD player or if it's a direct install player it will have an inline fuse. Thanks D.R. Wilkins

Duet dryer doesn't run. control panel lights up. push on button and all you hear is a click. what do i do?

No dryer function works when the motor cannot run and the common issue is a blown thermal fuse located on the blower housing and wired in series with the motor. There will be no power to the motor when the thermal fuse blows and the motor cannot therefore run. Bypass the thermal fuse and if the motor runs, the thermal use is indeed blown and needs to be replaced. Do not use the dryer with the thermal fuse blown due to fire hazards.

Disconnect power then open the dryer door and remove the lint filter. Remove the screws from the toe panel and remove the panel. Remove the screws securing the lint duct and remove the duct.

The thermal fuse can now be bypassed or replaced if necessary.

Bypass the thermal fuse by disconnecting the wires and taping them together or jumping a wire between them. Once done, plug the dryer in then start it. The thermal fuse is indeed blown and needs to be replaced if the dryer runs. The thermal fuse is part number 3390719. Reassemble the dryer in reverse order of the disassembly steps.

My hazard and a/c buttons will not light up or work since my stereo was removed?? HELP

It sounds like a fuse may have blown after the stereo was removed. Did whomever removed it make sure all the live wires were covered w/electrical tape? If not, one could have touched something and blown the fuses to your ac and hazard.
Check the fuse box thats by your feet on the driverside, pull the fuses that are for the ac and hazards and see if they're blown. If so, make sure all electrical lines are covered w/electrical tape BEFORE you change the fuses.

Breville 600XL not turning on

My BBL600XL stopped working because of a blown fuse. You need to remove the phillips and torx head screws out of the bottom. Then remove the base. There you will clearly see a fuse on the circuit board.

It appears to be a 10A 250V fuse.
