    Thanks - I am not currently at the refrigerators location so can't look at the hinge adjustment. do you need a special tool to do this adjustment??? Jerry

In generic terms, it is either the temperature controller or the sensor that reads the temp and sends that to the controller. Something is no telling the compressor to turn off.

Doors do not self shut. Stays open a little bit. Can the doors be adjusted or do springs have to be replaced?


there are no springs . check to see if it is level or just slightly off lower at the back helps close the door

There is a stile heater around the door opening and sounds like it shorted out. This would be the smell you noticed. The plastic door trim should have felt exceptionally warm to the touch

Will not self clean


soundsas if theres an issue witht the latch assy not recoginzing teh door is closed, and for safety reasons with out door closing will not engage cleaning cycle

Jenn air oven stuck closed after attempt to activate self-cleaning


The lock motor may have failed. Most often, bending a coat hanger into a hook and sliding from the right side as you move the door to the right,will allow you to release the lock and open the door.
