Question about Pioneer Car Audio & Video
My pioneer radio unit powers up but does not produce any sound. As an experiment, i plugged the radio in a friends car and everything works fine.I think its the wiring. What wire would cause no sound to be produced to any of the four speakers? Any ideas?

If the facia comes off, remove it and you should see two vertical slots. Insert the keys and pull out the unit. Disconnect the plugs for speakers power and ariel.

My same model did this too. The wiring harness may have gone bad. Try direct wiring the stereo or replacing the wiring harness if you can get one. This fixed the problem for me.
